Conveniently located on the north side of town right next to US-95, a very nice place for a self contained unit to get full hookups with a 50 amp circuit, water, and sewer. The folks who checked us in knew we were coming with a reservation, and because there's only 11 spots, they knew exactly who we were and guided us to the spot in the middle of the row of spaces. Each space has a cement patio for chairs and cooking and whatnot, and a common trash can is shared for every two spaces. Campground has a shower facility, but I did not use it (yay COVID.) Dog run is near the farthest west space, but it definitely needed some pooper scooper attention from unappreciative guests.

Bring a pressure regulator. Water is running well over 60 PSI, but hey, that's good! Also be sure to have a sewage hose with a twist in fitting required by the town; buying it locally at the campground is a bit pricy from what I overheard from a needy neighbor.

The folks at the camp are very proud of the local town and history and even gave us a complementary guide to the town for a walking tour, history of the buildings, and story of the massive flood and fire in the early 1900's that wrecked most of the town.

Busy times would be during the Best of the Desert and Goldfield Days (when COVID isn't canceling everything).

While the campground is right off US-95, you're in the middle of nowhere. And I mean NOWHERE. Gas stations are 67 miles south in Beaty and 27 miles north in Tonopah. There is a small general store in town, but be prepared for self contained conditions - you will not be dining out tonight. While Goldfield was the most populated town in Nevada in the 1900's, she is now a beautiful not-quite-ghost town of abandoned buildings, equipment, and history. The town and the road is quiet with no disturbance at night despite being the main north-south road between Las Vegas and Reno.

Cell Phone Service - This weird section of Nevada is covered by Verizon, but it reports as being in roaming mode. Ditto on T-Mobile - you might be able to get about 15 MB of data in this weird roaming area. AT&T had bars and absolutely no data. Phone calls were fine. WiFi is available at the campground, but we could not get a signal from our rig.

SPEED TRAP WARNING - Welcome to Esmeralda County, Nevada, where the majority of the money the county makes is off of traffic violations. No, seriously, they even explicitly have on their county site how when you get pulled over they'll knock your ticket down to a fine for "tail light violation" - https://www.accessesmeralda.com/county_offices/rules_about_traffic_citations.php - just to get you to pay up and shut up. Needless to say, that 25 MPH sign on US 95 means TWENTY FIVE MILES PER HOUR.

Great place to stay for a night, would’ve stayed longer if we had the time. Love the Goldfield history and walking tour. Definitely added to the bucket list. Thanks for the great stay! Will keep you in mind for our next time through. Dog run is also super useful! Full hookups, easy in and out, laundry available too.

Traveling from Laughlin to Reno we read reviews for Clark’s. It is such a sweet campground with easy 50amp full hookups, a cement slab, lounge, showers, laundry.
The town is remarkable. The Historical Society and passionate Folks have a history guide for each visitor.
The sixth edition was printed in 2019 and is a gem.
Nevada is rich with interesting stops including Area 51 and an Alien lunch to Gold mining mecca of the early 20th century.
If your travels take you on Hwy 95 this is a great quiet place to stop.

This was the first time we stayed at Clark's Custom Camp. It met our needs and expectation. All gravel yard and sites and all were pull through sites (which was nice, as I was only stopping for the night). Most had 50 amp power, but my site had 30 amp power pedestal. Which is nice, as I didn't have to breakout the 50 to 30 amp dog bone adapter.
It was windy and cold, with temperatures dropping to the low 20s during our stay. So, I only hooked up to electrical power and didn't hookup to sewer (1 night) and to water (too cold and only 1 night). Bathroom was in the "common room. It was a single toilet and shower, but clean and warm. The common room contained a large TV, microwave and a small refrigerator. I assume the room is available for groups to use.
We had a very good Verizon signal and were able to use our hotspot that evening.

If you need an easy overnight stop any size rig, this place has easy access. We enjoyed our stay. It was great to have a 50amp full hookup site. It was hot and we needed A/C and we needed to do
Laundry after boondocking.
The hostess was super nice and although right on HWY 95 the speed limit is 25MPH so the road noise was minimal.
The sites were level gravel with a concrete patio. They offer Wi-Fi although we weren’t able to use it. Cell signal with both AT&T and Verizon was strong.
We didn’t use the common room, showers or laundry.
Goldfield is a great eclectic town. We enjoyed walking around and riding our bikes.
There is no gas and only a small store that has irregular hours. Make sure you have your supplies and Gas before heading here.
