This KOA opened up the summer of 2018. When we were there in August of 2018, some of the sites were still under construction. I suspect it will all be finished by the end of the 2018 season. Note: you pay an extra $5 per night on the weekends.

The campground is associated with the St. Eugene Golf Resort and Casino right next door. So the pool, hot tub, spa, etc. are all at the Resort. You get to the resort by climbing up 30 steps, driving, or walking up a side driveway. You can have food delivered to you from the resort.

The staff was friendly and always visible. Some of them are still learning what is what. Since the place is new, that is to be expected.

All the KOA buildings are new. The bathrooms are all unisex toilet/shower combinations and quite nice. The laundry facility was bright and clean. It was $2 to wash and $1 per 15 minutes of dry time. There was also a game room with game tables and a big screen TV with comfy seating. There is not a book exchange yet, the owner said he would like to start one - someone just needs to show up with some spare books. There is also a basketball court, a new playground, and a covered outside patio with a gas grill.

All the roads in the park are gravel and a lot of dust was being thrown up by the campsite construction. The sites are fairly well spaced with green grass between. There are fire pits and picnic tables on a concrete slab. There was a burning ban when we were there, but the KOA was renting out propane fire pits. There are some very small saplings. Give it 15 years and there will be some nice trees.

The WiFi was excellent, but then again, the campground was only half full. The cable TV was 49 digital HD channels (Canadian and American stations). I believe that means if you have an older analog television, the cable might not work for you.

Now for the downsides. The campground map shows sites next to the river with a path along the river. That is not case. The area along the river is actually a no-mans-land of trees, shrubs, high grass, rocks and a ditch. There are very few places where you can see the river. So if you are paying a premium for a riverside site, don't count on seeing the river. There are a few places were people have beaten a path to the river, we didn't attempt any of those.

The back-in spaces are turned so your walk-out door faces into the park, not towards the green space. We would have preferred it the other way for privacy.

All the utilities are positioned at the rear of the back-in sites. That means the sewer is poorly position at these sites. You better have extra sewer hose. For the pull through sites, having a car hooked to your RV when you park may also cause you utility problems when parking.

You pay a premium to stay here. We were really looking forward to a site on the river and were disappointed to not be able to even see the river. This place has potential. I hope someone else will chime in once it's totally finished. Maybe we would try this KOA again. But for now, we'll stay elsewhere.

This campground is strictly OK. But if you are visiting friends and family in the area, it makes a great base camp. The couple running the campground are very nice and helpful. We made last minute reservations falling over a weekend. Since we didn't need full hookups, they got us in a site that didn't have sewer. That was all we needed!

When reserving, payment was made via PayPal. That was a first for us. They also want a copy of your driver's license when checking in. Odd. The host could not explain why the owner wanted that.

Getting to your campsite might be a challenge for the less-than-confident driver. There are a lot of branches and bushes in the way. Our host walked the approach with us and helped us get parked. We are VERY tall and I thought we were going to lose an air conditioner cover trying to get to our spot. They need to trim a few tree branches.

The sites are gravel and some are very sloped. Bring blocks to put under your jacks. There are also a lot of seasonal or full time sites, mostly in the back loop.

Some of the sites upfront are a bit noisy due to the proximity of the local road.

There is a large covered patio area that had a ping pong table. I did not check out the bathrooms. I tried to get on the WiFi (at the camp office only), but was not able to. I didn't pursue it much, I turned on my Verizon Jetpack instead. 50 amp power was good.

Verizon worked well. ATT was a little slower. Friends who stopped by with T-Mobile couldn't get any signal. As for over-the-air TV, I got the full gamut of Austin stations.

We would stay here again if in the area. But I would ask for a site that was a little easier to get into.

We needed a place to stay for the night. This campground fit the bill. It is easy to get to off the highway.

Sites do not have sewer, but do have water. Many of the pull through sites are sloped, so getting level could be a challenge. The rear tire on our long-wheelbase Super C was off the ground. But we were level.

The dump station does not have any kind of water (the fixtures are there, but are in need of repair). There were a few seasonal sites. I didn't try the WiFi.

Good OTA television and ATT and Verizon.

Rate shown is Passport America Rate.

Riggles' is a newer RV Park in Quartzsite. It is quite small, having only 27 sites. We stayed in early February (after the RV show is over) and had no trouble getting a spot for the night.

The sites are all gravel and easily accessed. Full hookups at each site. 90% of the park's sites were winter residents. There is WiFi, but it doesn't reach far according to the manager. We relied on our hotspot.

The event center has a large room for events. There are also two bathrooms, but no showers. There is a small laundry with two washers ($1.50) and two dryers ($.50).

This place is basic and gets the job done. We stopped for one night between boondocking stays to dump tanks, fill with water, etc. For the Passport America price, you can't beat it!

We stopped for a quick 1 night stay. The place is OK. Since we have a big rig, we opted to park on the blacktop parking area to get 50 amp power.

The power is the only issue we have with the place. We plugged in our power protector and it registered an "open ground". An open ground can cause a hot skin condition (touch your RV and get shocked). Nope, not going to have that. Our power protector did what it should, protected us and wouldn't feed power to the coach. We managed to drag our cord from our site (#21) to the empty neighboring site (#20) and things were fine. We then called the camp host to tell him of the issue and he said, "Oh, they all do that. The electrician says it's OK". What? My electrical engineer husband disagrees. He suspects the contacts in the plugs are just dirty and need to be cleaned. Someone is being negligent (I doubt it's the camp host, he's just repeating what he was told). So be aware.

If the campground office is open and the camp host is not around, call security. They will find him for you.

If you call the campground office number, there is a very good, very detailed message about when the campground is full (typically during HUGE events) and when tents are allowed. That message was appreciated.

We would stay here again, but would definitely test the power before we settled on a site.

Aspen Grove is a brand new RV park set in a valley surrounded by mountains. It is easily accessible from the highway. When approaching, look for the Amerigas facility. The entrance is immediately west of AmeriGas.

All the buildings are new. Sites are concrete with both pull-thru and back-in sites. Sites are at least 70 feet long so anybody can fit. Plenty of green grass all around. There are also picnic tables.

We only stayed for one night, but appreciated the 50 amps to run the air conditioners. I did take a quick walk through the nearest bathroom-shower-laundry facility. It was definitely clean.

The price was higher than what I usually like to pay. But we were a motor home towing a trailer and had a toad. So having the big pull through was worth the price.

I would definitely recommend this RV Park. New is nice!

Like another reviewer said, this campground is very basic. It has full hookups and that's it. We stayed here because it was mid September and the city campground in town had closed down for the year already.

You show up and pick a spot. It's a little confusing as to here the spots are, but we figured it out. There was no one there to advise us. Once you are set up, you go to the Boots Bar and Grill in town and pay for your stay (they will put it on your lunch tab if you wish). We never did figure out who owned the campground. And when we decided to stay an extra day, we didn't get around to paying until 5:00 that evening. No one came and banged on the door asking why we were still there. I found that interesting.

Anyway, the WiFi was good. There are no OTA TV stations (not surprising). Verizon worked OK, the number of hills between the campground and the cell tower in town degraded the signal some.

It was a short drive into town. So this campground is not inconvenient at all. If you want to avoid the crowds in Medora, this is the place to stay.

Very well landscaped campground. Neat gravel lots. Definitely pay extra to get a view site overlooking the city, it is worth it. Note, when it says it is a "Pull in/Back out" site, that is not and OR. It and an "AND". You Pull in to the site, then have to unhook your toad and back out to leave. Regardless, the view makes it worth it. Excellent cable tv channels. Good Verizon service.

This older campground will suffice for a quick overnight stop. The staff was very friendly and were able to accommodate us at the last minute with 30 amp service when the temperature was over 100 degrees.

The rigs are squeezed tight together. In order to get our 40' rig parked, the neighbor had to move a car. The next morning, the same neighbor had to move another vehicle to allow us to get out. But he did both with a smile.

The campground has a small pool that cost $2 a person per day to use. They have adequate WiFi. There were four over-the-air TV stations out of Regina. Cell phone signal was good.

This campground is a stop over, not a destination. We would stay here again if in the area.

We stayed here because of the Passport America rate of $20. We won't visit again.

If you have a big rig or a wide turning radius, avoid this place at all costs. Our 40 foot Super C could not depart the campground on a Sunday morning until we woke up a neighbor to move his pickup truck that was blocking part of the road. He was gracious about it fortunately.

As others have stated, the owners are nice. But I would only stay here if you have a small rig. You will be squeezed onto a tight spot with a close view of your neighbor. It had recently rained, so the sites were somewhat muddy.

The park is mostly long time residents. Most of the sites have the typical look of a site with a long term resident.

Next time we will go elsewhere.
