This campground is a our 2 miles on a side road (paved) outside of Medora. There is no walking access to.....anything!

This is really a simple place and has no amenities. The sites are a decent size, and have full hookups with 50a power but that’s it. No facilities (laundry, shower, restrooms, etc) to speak of but if that’s your thing then it’s great!

Although there are around 15 sites (+/-) there was only one other RV besides us here. Very quiet and private...almost feels like boondocking but with full hookups!

We like to be a bit away from the hustle and bustle and this campground fits the bill. Sites are either back in or pull through and seemed plenty long for most rigs even when towing.

The main part where most of the sites are, are pretty close together. Off to the left (where we parked) the sites are double width and spacious.

No reservations here, just show up and go pay at the bar about 2 miles down the road!

Like another reviewer said, this campground is very basic. It has full hookups and that's it. We stayed here because it was mid September and the city campground in town had closed down for the year already.

You show up and pick a spot. It's a little confusing as to here the spots are, but we figured it out. There was no one there to advise us. Once you are set up, you go to the Boots Bar and Grill in town and pay for your stay (they will put it on your lunch tab if you wish). We never did figure out who owned the campground. And when we decided to stay an extra day, we didn't get around to paying until 5:00 that evening. No one came and banged on the door asking why we were still there. I found that interesting.

Anyway, the WiFi was good. There are no OTA TV stations (not surprising). Verizon worked OK, the number of hills between the campground and the cell tower in town degraded the signal some.

It was a short drive into town. So this campground is not inconvenient at all. If you want to avoid the crowds in Medora, this is the place to stay.

Very basic campground that offers full hook-ups and not much else. The view around the campground is its best asset.

Like others have stated a very basic campground with a good view. The sites are a bit tight but workable. The sites could use a bit of work in that the stabilization jacks have sunken in the ground in the past (not ours but previous campers). The only other minor issue is the hookup connections are at the front, not back of the spots. That makes for long connections. Having said all that, yes I would return, no question. I like being away from the city crowd and the peace and quiet this place has. I also like the laid back approach of find your spot and then come pay us when you can. 20/30/50 amp power was clean and properly connected (we still use our surge protector). Water is good, no smells or funky tastes (in fairness we do use a filter anyway).

Tips, call ahead to make sure there is room. Bring blocks for your stabilizers and make sure your connections will reach the front of your rig. My opinion, site 8 has the easiest access and the best views.

We camped in a 36’ class A with a Jeep Liberty toad.

As mentioned this campground is no frills, but it’s a reasonable price in a good location with great views. It’s near the town of Medora, and the Theodore Roosevelt National Park (maybe bikable, but not walkable), so a good option if you are going there. Sites are pretty close together, but no problem with our slides or anything like that. there were no picnic tables or fire rings. There is no office or shop on site, but the views from the grounds are awesome. Everything is handled digitally and the owners are very responsive. They were accommodating and offered a credit for a future night when we had to leave a night early unexpectedly. I’d stay again.

Very quiet and convenient. Incredible dark sky views. Medora is so small that it’s easy to get anywhere. Most sites are shorter but a few can handle 40 ft rig. Site 8 could handle 45 ft motorhome and toad and is pretty level. Stopped for a drink at Boots Bar and Grill in town. Drinks were good and staff was friendly. Food looked good although we didn’t eat there. Will definitely stay here again.

Nice cozy little campground. Site 16 is oddly positioned parallel to a duplex cabin and the road. Water and electric hookup but this particular site does not have sewer. Ground was not terribly level. I use LevelMatePRO and after multiple repositionings still had to go up 5.5” driver side and 11.5” up on the tongue. We did have a pretty cool lightning show but the encore was a freak hailstorm. Cell service with Verizon was 2bars for us, took a while to browse websites, YouTube, other web-based apps. Overall nice spot!

Site is very basic, no facilities, and spots are tight. Ground is gravel mixed in with plenty of jaggers. Bugs are bad and don’t count on the WiFi working. The only nice thing about this campground is the view. Would not recommend this place.

Site 7 in a class c that does not have leveling jacks was a bear! We had to go buy more leveling blocks. There are no tables or fire rings. You're very close to your neighbors. But, it's cheaper than the other private parks and you get full hook-ups. It's clean and the rest of the place seems pretty level. $30 weekdays $40 weekend.
We needed the 30 amp for ac as it was very hot. Then when weather broke went to Scoria Pit for boondocking a week.

This campground near the south entrance to Theodore Roosevelt national Park has electrical for sewer and city water very close to your unit. The campground is very small and they cram as many vehicles in as they can. You will not have room for much of anything outside your unit such as camp chairs or a grill. No campfires. It is very close to the Mah-Dah-Hey Trail and a 30 minute hike to the left on that trail will reward you with a spectacular view of the Little Missouri River Valley.
