“Come for a night. Stay for the view.”
This KOA is conveniently located one mile from I-10, overlooking the amazing views of Las Cruces, Mesilla Valley, and nearby mountains. Many upgrades have taken place over the last year, including Wi-fi with which you can stream and zoom, paved streets and a new playground. Choose from breathtaking view sites, big-rig friendly pull-thru sites, KOA Patio Sites with fire pits, Tent Sites or one-room Camping Cabins with refrigerator/freezer and fire pits. An RV wash area (Care Camps donation encouraged), 24-hr laundry and heated pool (seasonal) will complete your visit. Many come for one night and end up staying longer. Visit La Mesilla, known for its rich history and great cuisine. Shop for local specialties, chilies, and pecans at the popular farmers' market in downtown Las Cruces. Other area attractions include White Sands National Park & Missile Museum, Spaceport America Visitors Center, and the New Mexico Farm & Ranch Heritage Museum. Pool: Mid May – Sept 31st. Max pull thru 85 ft. Your hosts: Leah & the Las Cruces KOA Team.
Have stayed at this KOA the last 3 winters on the way to Arizona. Very friendly and helpful staff. Great doggie exercise area. Grounds are kept very clean. Sites are raked and clean as soon as someone pulls out. Bathrooms are clean and the laundry facilities are excellent. A bonus is the very pretty views of the night lights of Las Cruces. Highly recommend for an overnight stop or a few days stay!!
Called at 3pm, pulled in by 5:30! Great view. Clean amenities!
Stayed at this KOA on a recent trip to San Diego. Would definatly recommend springing for a premium site or view site. The service was excellent. Clean bathrooms and pool facilities. This place is short on shade and the pool was very refreshing!! We plan on going back when we can spend a few days there.
We enjoyed our stay here!
It has everything you need, except quarters for laundry 😅
If you need to use the laundry facility make sure you get cash somewhere and quarters as they don’t offer either.
There is free coffee and tea all day, free pastries in the mornings, clean restrooms, great play areas for the kids, dog park, and gorgeous views of the mountains and sunrise/sunset!
It was VERY windy almost our entire 4 days stay so just beware. You’re on top of a hill and apparently NM is known for winds. Who knew?!
The sites themselves are very clean and cute! Each comes with a chiminea and others have an upgrade from that with grill and extra seating.
We would definitely recommend and stay again.
Very clean and beautiful views of the valley. Highly recommend!
The views! I cannot say enough about the views! Of course I think we had the best site, #16, but we had sunrises and sunsets! This facility perched high above the valley is on prime real estate! The pool was very nice and clean with new pool furniture. The whole park was kept quite clean. Our site was awesome! The gazebo with the mural of the mountain range was a nice addition! I only wish the dog park was a bit nicer, it was big enough and had some shade so that is a plus. This was a very nice RV stop! Restrooms very clean; staff was GREAT!
We stayed here like most, on our way through; had to book only a day in advance and landed the best site in the campground (#12)! We are very happily surprised with the cleanliness of entire facility, and happy that the pool opened only minutes before our arrival. Pool is 7 feet deep and there is nice furniture! Playground for kiddos is like new, the dog park is fairly big although only sand/dirt, no grass or trees but has some shade. Best of all... the views! Panoramic valley and distant mountain vistas... STUNNING! At night you see the twinkle of Las Cruces. Easy to find. Site has heavy duty cement picnic table and is wide and deep. Highly recommend!
Stayed here for a night on a cross country drive. We were pretty in and out, got here around 8pm and left at 6am, but it was very pleasant. Nice little tent campground, quiet, clean bathrooms, pretty much everything you need. Right off the highway too, so quick to get in and get out. Would definitely stay here again, hopefully next time before heading into White Sands!
Easy to find and a beautiful site overlooking the city. Nice and quiet. We arrived late and left early so can’t comment on the showers, etc.
In the hills overlooking Las Cruces, this KOA site has great views and a nice breeze. Sites are a combo of concrete and gravel. Concept is RV wheels go on the concrete strips, gravel for the picnic table. A very peaceful location. I'd stay here again.
