Same road as Belly of The Dragon so it tends to be on the busy side. Lots of ATV’s and it can get dusty. If you park far enough off of the road, the dust usually settles away from campsites. It is very quiet at night with sounds of the creek that runs behind. The sky and stars are incredible here. Some sites and some side roads are sugar sand so be careful not to get stuck. Overall it’s a good option for the area!

There is a ton of room here to spread out. The road is manageable going further back. Up front folks seem to park fairly close together, so if that’s not your thing, we recommend going a little further down the road. If you need to dump and fill, you can do so in the park at the campgrounds but you will have to pay an entrance fee. We had good cell service, it was very quiet, no trash and definitely enjoyed being close to the park. It is kind of the middle of nowhere so pack provisions!

Casino is placed in a small town and backs up to a neighborhood so it is particularly quiet! It may take a little effort to get level in the RV/Truck parking area. Call to check in with security upon arrival. No generators, no amenities, just a nice place to park for a day or two.

Surrounded by a wall and barbed wire, this is the most secure RV Park we’ve ever stayed at! Inside the gates is a well manicured RV neighborhood with level, paved full hookup sites that are easy to maneuver in and out of. Customer service was wonderful and they welcome Passport America guests for 7 days. WiFi is decent, laundry room, pool, hot tub and grounds were more than adequate. There is a train that passes often but we’ve not once heard a train horn so it wasn’t much of a bother for us. With everything else this place is doing right, the train was no big deal. Bathrooms are usable but being remodeled.

Fantastic little RV Park with incredible views of Mt Sopris and the Roaring Fork River!
Our first site was a full hookup, large back in site closer to the road. Site 1. $40 nightly. Second site was also back in, overlooking the river, with water and electric hookups only at $30. It was a smaller site but the sound of the river and view were superb. All sites have a fire pit and picnic table. All sites will have road noise but we didn’t find it bothersome. There is a bike/walking path starting at the RV park, easy access to launch a kayak, and about a mile walk to town from the park. The short walk to town is flat, paved, scenic, quiet and full of gorgeous wildflowers. Walking from the RV Park will put you right at the bus station for easy access to surrounding areas. Camp hosts were awesome. Bathrooms with showers were especially clean but a bit dated. Overall, the price for the RV Park was fantastic, as Colorado tends to be a bit on the expensive side. Carbondale is a great little town and a very central location for surrounding areas like Aspen, Glenwood Springs and several scenic drives. We would absolutely return and recommend the park to anyone with any size rig.

Lots of amenities including clean facilities. Access to country club with indoor pool as well. Well worth the price. Make sure you review PA agreement as they have certain dates and days of the week aloud for the 50% discount.

Easy rest area to get in and out of that accommodates all sizes. There was another rig and a big rig truck the night we stayed but is far enough off the interstate to be quiet. Clean and felt safe.

Located in between Bryce Canyon National Park and Red Canyon in the Dixie National Forest. Within a few minutes of both destinations. Endless camping opportunities down this fairly well maintained road. It gets dusty but super easy to find areas suitable for all size rigs to get plenty far enough away from the road to avoid dust. About a mile down the roads the cell signal weakens but there are grassy areas to camp as well. If you’d like more privacy, there are many side roads to venture down (again suitable for all size rigs but definitely scout ahead) and plenty of room!

The website for this campground shows a motto- the genuine outdoor experience. That’s exactly what this campground offers. A wooded setting with electric and water hookups, very rustic but very adequate, some sites back up to a gorgeous creek, and all sites have a picnic table, fire pit, and trash can. There are recycling bins throughout the park, also. Staff was super friendly. The lake has a beach area for swimming, a small mini golf course and a game room with arcade games. The gift shop has some really cool stuff AND ice cream! The campground is less than 5 miles from the interstate but feels so far removed with a total nature vibe. There are deer everywhere and it’s just so peaceful. We absolutely loved it here.
