Station changed brands and dump was closed. It would be a traffic jam to use it if open.
We arrived on the Friday before 4th of July at noon and got the next to the last site. As others have said, it’s not private but the views and sound of the surf make up for it. We had no clouds or rain for 3 days so it got a bit dusty for the PNW. Closest diesel and propane over 45 minutes away, so come prepared. Gas available at Queets 5 miles away.
Check with the host and the board at the bathrooms to verify which sites are open.

Friendly staff and reasonable rates for full hookup. Transient and seasonal sites, with not much space between the sites on our row. Power voltage was often low, but we weren’t using AC or TV, so it didn’t matter.
Convenient spot to explore Halifax (40 min) Peggy’s Cove (10 min) and Lunenburg (1 hour)
We’ve been on the road for 6 weeks so we also enjoyed being able to take care of getting almost anything we needed since Bayer shopping center has almost everything you might need, and we were able to get a laptop replaced at the Apple Store at the mall.
Cell service was marginal, WiFi signal was pretty good, but speed was very slow, likely due to the number of people using it. We saved high data activities to do while in Halifax where good 5G was widely available.
$40CD was very affordable for us, converted to $32USD which is about impossible to find in the USA.

We stopped for 1 night in July while heading to the Cassair highway and Alaska. We wanted an equivalent to a Forest Service campground in the western USA and found it.
Easy 4 mile side trip from highway 97 and a very short gravel road. Easy access for our 28’ bumper pull trailer. Check the board for the site map.
Site 2 worked great for us. We stayed hitched and had room for our overall 52’ length.
$7.50 Canadian for seniors for our 1 night stay
Host Tammy came around to collect fee once we picked a spot. Only downside was that we had no cell service on ATT or TMobile and we had some smoke from wildfires farther west.

Clean and not too noisy overnight spot.
We prefer to get off of I95 and travel Delmarva Rt 13 and have enjoyed several of the state parks along the route. This was our first overnight at the welcome center. Large parking lot with some truck and traffic noise, but not bad.
Go around welcome center and park along rear edge of parking lot where there are picnic tables and shade trees.
We arrived around noon on a Thursday in July and found about half the sites open. Site 27 in a new loops not shown on our map. $7.50 for seniors.
Only issue was we bent out steps on our travel trailer going through the first loop and hitting a low stump. If you’re pulling anything over 20’ avoid the first loop and go for the 2nd loop on the right near the power lines. Newly constructed and fine for bigger rigs.

We rushed to get here but had our choice of 5 open sites at 5 pm on a Monday in August. We stayed on site 17 for a week. Very private spacious and quiet. Trees kept the wind down and we still had some solar most days. We couldn’t see any neighbors and had room to put up our big screen tent. Bugs were hardly noticeable.
A very nice change after a packed campground in Seward.
Easy drive to Homer and great walks on the beach and sand bars at low tide. No water or dump station. $20 a night.
There’s a dump station in Homer with water for $15 and we’ve been told you can dump free at the Chevron in Homer.
Att coverage was fine. T-Mobile had roaming signal on local GCI carrier, but they’re throttling our data speeds after 2 months in AK.

This our 2nd visit to this park. We enjoyed biking on the wide beach and sand bars at low tide, as well as the wooded trails. Also enjoyed daytime highs in the 60’s in December, and day trips to Savanah and Charleston.
As others said, it’s prone to flooding during storms or extreme tides. Sites farther from the beach are higher and drier.
Between Dec 2019 and Dec 2020 they cleaned up the beach near the campground of downed trees and remains of an old road and pipes as the beach recedes to the west.
We were here during the full moon and enjoyed sunsets over the marsh and moonrise over the Atlantic

We stayed here for a week at Thanksgiving to visit family nearby at McGuire AFB and NYC. It’s very remote and quiet, which we like, and open year round. Our site was next to a fresh water spigot and 3 sites from the dump station. Other nearby parks closed earlier in the season, and some closed their dump stations prior to closing the campground.
Site was large and wooded. Roads are sometimes in paved and have puddles after a rain. With al the trees we were protected from the winds, but didn’t get much opportunity for solar charging. We had to run our generator about an hour a day, but with only 3 other campers in the park, it was no issue.
We love this type of rustic camping and will be back for Christmas!

Spent 5 nights here while volunteering for the GA senate runoff.
Site was beautiful and enjoyed both electric and water hookups so we could run space heater or furnace. Unique Grey water dump at many sites is a type of stone filled pit with topsoil and wood frame boundary. Nice to be this remote and still shower without worry of filling Grey water tank.
As others stated, table is concrete and not moveable. Fire ring not much use with winds off the lake the first night.
In our January stay park was 50% occupied our first night on Saturday Jan 3rd and only 10% occupied after that.
No HP restrictions on the lake, so it could get noisy with boats in the summer.
