Confirmed by 2 users | Last reported on July 26, 2023The park was easy to find. It is located on highway 333 (Peggy’s Cove Road) about 40 minutes from Halifax’s Water Front and about 10 minutes from Peggy’s Cove. There is pavement all the way. Signage is adequate. Check in was efficient and friendly. The rules are really basic. You are expected to just use common sense and respect your fellow campers. The interior roads are a mix of gravel and dirt.
Our site, 35 was a back in that was just long enough for our Coach and Towed. Services (30 amp, water and sewer) were to the left side. Be aware, the sewer connection is just an open pipe that you cover with a rock when you leave, Not very sanitary plus there is strong odors when you dump. Distancing is close for a rural park. Each site has a table and a fire pit. Our site was flat and even. Overall the park was a bit rough looking. Some TLC is definitely needed. The owner’s residence appears to be undergoing some renovation….that is obviously taking a long time. Grass/weeds need to be mowed. There is just a lack of care and it shows.
The park included wifi is incredible. One of the best we have used. There is no cable TV and found no OTA TV. Satellite might be difficult because of the trees if you don’t have a portable dish. We did not use the washrooms or showers but we checked and found them clean. The laundromat is out of service and it appears that no attempt to bring it back is in the works. There is a rough playground for the youngsters.
There are no restaurants or stores within easy walking distance but just a short drive away you can find food, shopping and convenience stores. Ice and firewood can be purchased from the office. We found this park to be a good base to use for visiting the local attractions. We paid $40.00 per night and we feel we received good value. We will be back if in the area again.

Good place to stay over to visit Halifax and area. Front lots are for pull thru, accepting 55 foot long set ups. Price is fair. Friendly staff responded to our needs, on May 2nd, 2023, without reservations.

Along the road puts you in position to visit Peggy's cove and Halifax. Road busy buy quiet at night. Not a scary place but not well cared for, looks like caretakers dial it in. In comparison place nearby was right on harbor but only a gravel lot, this place had had some green. Stayed away from facilities. Area does not live up to hype so wasn't an overall great experiance.

Friendly staff and reasonable rates for full hookup. Transient and seasonal sites, with not much space between the sites on our row. Power voltage was often low, but we weren’t using AC or TV, so it didn’t matter.
Convenient spot to explore Halifax (40 min) Peggy’s Cove (10 min) and Lunenburg (1 hour)
We’ve been on the road for 6 weeks so we also enjoyed being able to take care of getting almost anything we needed since Bayer shopping center has almost everything you might need, and we were able to get a laptop replaced at the Apple Store at the mall.
Cell service was marginal, WiFi signal was pretty good, but speed was very slow, likely due to the number of people using it. We saved high data activities to do while in Halifax where good 5G was widely available.
$40CD was very affordable for us, converted to $32USD which is about impossible to find in the USA.
