Amazing Beach! Very close proximity to the other campers, but if you're only staying a night or two than that is okay. You'll be spending the day on the beach anyway.

Gorgeous dry camping! It's a small campground, but very quiet and has beautiful views of the ocean and easy access to the beach. If you rely on solar panels, there is very little shade/tree cover, so you'll be set! One of my favorite spots along the Pacific Ocean.

Verizon and AT&T cell service and data coverage is good. We got 2-3 bars of 4G (sometimes LTE) and 4 bars of 3G consistently.

Sites are now $15/night.

This is a fantastic beach campground. It can definitely be crowded compared to other campgrounds and some of the campsites are irregular sizes, but the location and views more than make up for it. During the summer most of the campsites will probably be taken by the late afternoon/early evening, so you should try to get there as early as possible.

We happened upon this campground last year when we were exploring the Olympic Peninsula and I can't wait to go back. Spots are right on the beach, no hookups, but you seriously cannot beat the view for 10 bucks a night. We had three bars of Edge on AT&T.

This is the best Olympic NP campground for big RVs. No shade so it's great for solar. Trails right to the beach for walking. Dump and water 3 miles north at Klaloch campground. Many people just stop overnight so although they do not take reservations there were always vacant sites until later in the day. We would definitely stay there again.

This gorgeous no-hookups camprgound is first come, first served. It's wide open on a bluff, so great for solar, and also easy to find a spot for a larger rig. There is not a site at this campground that doesn't have a beautiful view of the Pacific. It is tiered, so even the back row has it good.

Some sites are pretty unlevel. I had to vacate my first choice, because I couldn't level out with all my blocks.

Verizon was about 3 bars, but it was a very solid 3 bars.

Restrooms, no water spigots. (I didn't go in the restroom, so I'm not sure if there was runnig water or not).

This is only three miles South of the more popular Kalaloch Campground.

The only downside: It closes seasonally around September 8! I got one night a this beautiful campground (that was at least half full at the time) before they kicked us all out. Kalaloch Campground is still filling to capacity at this time of year, so it seems far too early for them to close South Beach. Great campground, but don't plan on coming after summer to avoid the crowds — you wont' get in!

No water, no hookups, but beach access right from our site and killer sunsets every night. After weeks of cool, shady, forested sites it was really nice to have wide open sun. Only one bar of 3G on the phone, but 5 bars of 4G with the antenna and amplifier. We'll be back! Bathrooms have flush toilets with non-potable running water. $5/night for seniors.

This Olympic National Park campground ain't perfect but everything is redeemed by the gorgeous view of the Pacific! Holy crap it's great! But no water, no hookups and you may feel like you're all cramped together in a gravel parking lot.

Plus, it's always full and they don't take reservations so getting in is tough. However, I got here right after the 11:00 AM checkout time and found several sites open, even though the sign said, "Campground Full." The park ranger was here sorting through the reservation board and suggested I find an unoccupied spot and come back to see if no longer be had reserved it yet. I got lucky!

South Beach has been on our "must return" list since we were here two years ago. This time we got the "host" site (#57) which is slightly separated from the rest of the sites. Cell reception hasn't improved - we had 2 bars on both AT&T & Verizon that would wander in and out, but had four strong bars of Verizon with our amplifier and old trucker antenna. Price was up $5 per night from two years ago, but still a great deal, especially with the senior pass 50% discount. (The price I show is the full price - $7.50/night discount price)

This spot is little more than a parking lot but is right on the beach in Olympic National Park. We loved the beach here but the campground was very crowded and a bit noisy at times. The spots aren't marked so it's a bit tricky to determine where your spot ends and begins. Hopefully you have friendly neighbors like we did.
