Great spot to visit Astoria and surrounding areas. It is a small park and sites are on the smaller side. Depending on where you are located there may be road noise as it really is tucked right between the road and the hillside. Staff is incredibly friendly, helpful, and kind. Bathrooms super clean, new, and well cared for. We lucked out with the last little spot next to the creek and a little park like area and it was just delightful. Location really can’t be beat. Not all the sites are scenic- most are just tight gravel spots, but I’m rating on the higher side because of the amazing spot we had!

I had planned to stop at the casino lot a few miles south but it was almost entirely full with semis. I only saw a couple of RVs/campers and open spaces were super limited. It was a bit overwhelming so I continued on. Olive Pit was the exact opposite— small, only one other truck in the lot, quiet and clean. It even had a little dog walking area in one side.
Awesome spot for a stopover.

I assumed this was going to be a big parking lot full of big rigs and was pleasantly surprised! The big trucks were all parked in the gas station/casino parking lot and the “RV Park” area is gravel roads through grassy spots. I pulled in late and was a bit unsure where the official spots were, but found a great spot (there was plenty of room) and was generally pretty impressed. Arrived late and left early the next am so didn’t see much but would absolutely stop over here again!
One thing to note— I entered the RV Park into google maps and it wanted me to take a dirt road into the woods west-ish of the complex... don’t do that! 😂 Easy access from right behind the motel.
Like another poster said, there is also a corral for horses and it was cool to see it in use on our stopover.
Great location to explore Idaho Falls. Sites are relatively close but being on grass was nice. Bathrooms were fine but not great. Strong cell signal and friendly staff. Near the highway but noise was not an issue for me.

As others have said, all about the location. Spots are close together with little to no privacy, but the views are lovely. Super clean bathrooms and showers. Literally a quick walk up the road to the park entrance. For access to Zion along with hookups, can’t be beat.

Ended up here on a friend’s recommendation when everything in the park was already booked. Big, lovely RV park. Super family friendly with kids riding bikes and playing on the playground. Everything was very clean and both staff and campers were friendly. It is for sure on the fancy side- lots of big, fancy RVs! Great base for exploring Yellowstone

Agree that this spot is awesome. You definitely need a fishing license (they check) which is easy to get online. Out if state license plus extra day was $24 so well
Worth it for two nights of electrical hook ups (no water) in a really cool spot right outside Great Sand Dunes. I arrived at night and it was hard to see what was what but even after dark there were plenty of spots available, mostly pull through with a ton of room. Sites are spread way out so while you can see other folks it still feels very serene and private. Loved it.

As others have said, this is a quick and easy stop. The tip to have exact change for after hours check in is spot on. There is only one restroom, and the door to access it is locked between 9:15 pm and 6:30 am, so I was glad to have arrived shortly before 9! The building is under construction so maybe this won’t be an issue moving forward.
Only stayed for a quick overnight but everything was super clean, easy to access, and staff was very friendly

There aren’t many options in this area. Whispering elms has a few RV spots and a tiny motel. As others have said, dated but friendly and clean. I was happy to have an option for electric hookups on a quick trip passing through.

Small campground outside Bluebell lodge. Not super private but sites were spaced out with lots of grass and trees in between. Super clean bathrooms and (free!) hot showers. Trail rides passed along the side and it was fun to watch horses go by. Easy access to several major stops (Rushmore, etc) but Custer State Park itself was an absolute gem.
