“a peaceful natural setting”

Yellowstone Grizzly RV Park is located in West Yellowstone, Montana. The West entrance to Yellowstone National Park is four short blocks away and all town services and attractions are within easy walking distance. Yellowstone Grizzly RV Park is unequaled in the area for its design and amenities. Completed in August of 1996 and expanded in August of 2006 and again in August of 2010, we offer outstanding accommodations for all RV sizes. Aspen and lodge pole pine trees enhance the manicured lawns, flowerbeds and paved streets. The Park is bordered on two sides by the Gallatin National Forest creating, a peaceful natural setting.

LoVeD our stay here! This park is very clean and organized. They do have full hook ups. We got a pull through site and it had plenty of space between our neighbors. The park was so, so quiet and super dark at night - which just made it seem peaceful. We had an absolute blast entering Yellowstone from the west entrance which is less than 5 minutes away from this park! I would definitely recommend staying here and we would come back, for sure!

Kinda pricey (we paid $126, which included facilities that were not working (cable) or not yet open for the season (pool)), but super nice, super clean, prompt maintenance man, nice handicapped shower. Walk to downtown West Yellowstone, which is a very fun town for a day.

Yellowstone-Grizzly is a top-notch facility near the western entrance to Yellowstone national park. Although they are pricey, they do offer a Good Sam discount (10%). I will say that you get what you pay for here:

Sites are well maintained, and have plenty of room
Easy to move around, even for the biggest rigs. Both pull through and back-in sites available.
Wi-fi is available and actually works (a rarity, in our experience).
Camp has 4 laundry facilities arranged throughout the park (same building as bathrooms and showers).
Check-in building is convenient, great parking for rigs and includes a c-store.

Everything in the Yellowstone area is expensive, so we just had to bite the bullet and pay for the expensive RV parks in this area. This park is really nice though and we felt it was worth it. The landscaping is beautiful, and they have a nice playground for the kids. We had a premium back-in site so we had a grassy area behind us that backed up to woods which gave us a little bit of privacy. It is walking distance to the cute town of West Yellowstone which has lots to do, and only a few minutes to the west entrance to Yellowstone. Verizon 4G coverage was excellent here.

*well maintained and clean
*excellent laundry and restroom facilities
*level gravel site
*laundry $2.00 to wash $0.25 to dry
*recycling available
*0.5 mile from west entrance to Yellowstone

The back side of the RV park is surrounded by National Forest land with trails for walking dogs. Not all sites have water connections that are insulated. We were asked to disconnect our water each evening and reconnect in the morning in order to prevent freezing. We had to park our truck in overflow parking (due to site length), which I noticed others had to do as well.

This is a very nice RV park... clean, well maintained, and organized. Although the sites aren't exactly spacious, they are not as close together as I feared, and our back-in site was more than wide enough for us to not feel claustrophobic. Even better, our site backed up to the national forest where there were lots of trails for us to walk our dog. Our 36' motorhome and tow car just barely fit in the back-in site (some days we parked our car in the overflow parking lot). Larger rigs will either want the back-in sites that have a car pad next to them, or a pull through site. Our gravel site was nice and level. The WiFi worked fairly well especially during the day when everyone is visiting Yellowstone. They issue WiFi codes for up to two devices. Our AT&T and Verizon both worked well. They accept mail and packages for guests, but have two different addresses for US Mail vs. UPS/FedEx deliveries, which means Amazon orders are problematic. Our only complaint (not their fault) was the swarms of giant mosquitos (biggest we've seen) around the park, and even worse in the adjacent national forest. We stayed at the beginning of the season... in fact our first night was $35 since it was the off-season rate, then it went up to $65 for the rest of our stay. We'd stay here again.

In our RV travels, our family has decided that we appreciate being in parks with cell signals, access to stores and restaurants, and other such conveniences. For our trip to Yellowstone, we decided staying outside of the park was a better choice for our preferences. We opted to stay at Yellowstone Grizzly because of its prime location, and the park did not disappoint.

This is one of the most meticulous parks we have visited, which is especially amazing considering its size. We were lucky enough to be able to fit in the back-in sites at the back of the park, meaning our site backed up to the Gallatin National Forest. You have to be fairly short to fit in these, but for those who don't there are lots of pull-thru sites.

We appreciated being able to leave the park and have access to the charming town of West Yellowstone, and we loved getting to the gates of Yellowstone within minutes. Once you are in the gates, you have to realize you will be driving far in between the sites, which means Yellowstone Grizzly is more convenient for the west side.

One thing to note: the WiFi signal isn't strong throughout the park and may only work on laptops, not phones.

We stayed here Mid- May 2018.
All the reviews below are accurate. This place is clean, friendly, quiet and quite pretty.
The price is well worth it - full hookups, cell was good, wifi was good, cable was good, laundry was spotless, store was well stocked, RV spots spaced nicely etc. but the very best part about Grizzly RV is the location. You can walk to stores, shops, bars, restaurants etc. and it is only a mile to the West entrance to Yellowstone!
We will be back!

I really want to like this place more. Check in was a breeze, great recommendation for dinner delivery. The problem was our site, a back in that if we backed in far enough to park our car in front our sewer hose would not reach. We saw many other campers having this problem. They do not have adequate “overflow” parking. That said the campground is immaculate and all hookups we could reach worked well.
