Pull through stone sites facing a smaller butte. We were challenged when leveling our trailer on the stones.

The sunsets were beautiful. No amenities that we saw. Great location for the State and National parks (which are must sees).

The owners are super nice and very accommodating. I would recommend.

This is a field with a few hookups. Very dusty. Transients all hours of the night. I couldn’t wait to leave. It was a Passport America rate of $15. But people came in late and left early. One camper had cars driving over to it in the wee hours. Very uncomfortable here.

We were not greeted by anyone and didn’t have clear directions. There was a number to call but we had to wait till someone called us back which was about 5 minutes. In the meantime, we drove in and the camp host told us where to park. Site 18 is one of the loveliest sites as you park parallel to the stream. The camp host lady was super nice but it’s obvious that there is a lot of work here. Our site wasn’t mowed under our picnic table so if we had wanted to use it we would have had to move it. The weeds and grass were at least 9” tall. The day we were to leave they parked someone in front of our camper 12 feet away on site 19 even though there was more room towards their post. Our truck is 21 feet long. The sites are not marked well. We didn’t get any written rules and there are loose dogs to our left. Seems like some full timers here as well.

The hidden gem - new owners installed new electric and water pressure was good. I hear that they are going to install sewer soon. I think the new owners will be bringing this up to par.

We booked our stay 5 months prior to arriving. We never received any communication so a week prior to arriving we called the campground. Russ was less than pleasant and told us he was on another line and to call back. So we did. Spoke to Cathy. Got our site number. When we arrived there’s no packet on the door or anywhere. Found our site. Tight spots where we were. Mostly annuals here. Booked a month stay but 2 weeks in we got roaches. Apparently everyone has them there. There was no communication about owing electricity and we were getting different answers. We left early totally disgusted with the campground, the amenities (or lack thereof) and the total lack of communication. This is not a resort. For $850 a month, we expected a lot more.

We loved it here. There are 3 sections and it appears to us that the annuals do a nice job maintaining their sites. There was not a lot of 50 amp available. Super clean park.

Close to so many things to see and do.

Convenient right off the highway. Store is well stocked and they carry homemade cinnamon rolls and fresh meat. The sites are pull through and very long. Owners are super nice. Under new management since January. Very well maintained. They had full hookups and reverse osmosis drinking water. There was a volleyball court and corn hole available. Lots of space for kids to run and to walk your dogs.

We loved our time at Cheraw State Park. My husband and I played golf at the golf course and it is very well kept. We had a partial view of the lake. There were walking trails, a beach, kayak and other boat rentals. Would definitely recommend for the water views.

We really enjoyed this very quiet park. Our space was a decent size and level. We had a gravel pad but we noticed some concrete pads. We stayed in cypress view and are glad we did. We drive over to lakeshore and it is more rustic looking. We had water and electric. The bathrooms were clean. The nice thing about this park is it’s close to lots of trails, other state parks and Congaree National Park. The office also has a tiny display/museum which Is very informative.

Very quiet, clean campground In a gorgeous setting. The sunsets were amazing. We enjoyed the views and the staff was very friendly and accommodating. Bathrooms were clean. Showers are huge.

Don’t forget to come with your water tank filled. There is a water shortage.

This campground is very nice. There are not a lot of full hook up sites available due to annuals but they have pump out service twice a week for $15. Speaking of annuals, they maintained their sites and almost all were well manicured. The amenities weee very nice. Bathrooms updated and clean. This campground could use some road maintenance as the dirt roads with very little gravel created an incredible amount of dust.
