Nice to have a huge beach to ourselves. Lots of cottonwood trees and willows and room to roam. You do need to be careful about sandy areas, you don’t want to get stuck! Bigger rigs might want to stay on the ridges. There are bathrooms all along the beaches, but they are closed out of season. Very quiet. We had a NV park pass so stayed without fees, but there are fees to enter the beach area and camp. Good cell coverage.

We have stayed at this campground several times as we traveled. It’s a very nice area with fantastic views of the reservoir you will not forget. You can walk down to the rocky shore on a steep trail between campsites.
There are showers and a dump station and the electricity is great to recharge and use air conditioning if it’s hot (there isn’t any shade).
There is very little privacy here, some sites are a little better in placement, but no vegetation really. Any size rig can find a spot here. Rangers are definitely around to check on things.

We were able to stay in site 5 with no reservation since it’s off season. This is a spectacular site, huge pull-thru with your own waterfall and multiple bridges to tables and horseshoe pit. The water was so loud it was amazing. Thankfully it drowned out the one other campsite taken that was producing constant noise.
Absolutely no cell phone connection at all with AT &T. Not even SOS.
Beautiful area, we hiked up a lovely road at the end of the campground for amazing views of cliffs and the creek.
Definitely need reservations in season for nicer sites.
For RVs, not much shade in most sites.

Campground was bustling with activity. Very beautiful area. Huge disparity in sites. We had a terrible site because we came in last minute. Definitely want to reserve towards back and river areas. Avoid the exposed corner sites around 12 unless tenting it at 13. Still a gorgeous experience with friendly people, crystalline river, lots of foliage and nice amenities. Full electric and water hookups, hot clean showers and nice hiking. Also know that the road is way up a cliff behind the sites, don’t be afraid that pets/ kids can get up there too much. There is some road noise, but very little at night.

Beautiful lakeside area. The trail around the lake is spectacular, so green. Our campsite backed up to the lake and trail. Fair amount of hikers came through. Fair privacy for most sites.
So not to scare anyone, but our campsite had some trash and while I cleaned it up I found some drug paraphernalia. I noticed some trash at another campsite as well. Sad because there is a big dumpster right there to use. It’s off-season and I don’t think there was a host.
We loved this area. The ocean beach down the street is a must. It’s a bit too far to walk to for most, I didn’t see a trail to it. You could bike or drive. Lots of beach for dogs to play. Will never forget this experience.

Loop A more spacious sites suited for RV, loop B is tight and not much privacy, but close to the river. We enjoyed walking to the Lower Falls, but wanted to warn about the cliff side trail for children and pets between Middle and Upper Falls. It’s dangerous.
Personally, I found this campground a bit too tight and lacking in privacy. It was a beautiful experience to see the waterfalls, but the cliffs are definitely a hazard. Suitable for smaller RV or trailers only.

Beautiful forest with lots of generous sized sites to choose from. Our dogs had lots of room to play during the week, not many campers at this time. We loved the trails at the entrance to the campground that led to the lake or along the river. Very beautiful walks with the dogs. No cell service at all for us though. AT&T.

We enjoyed our stay here. It was off season and we had the place to ourselves. The big wildfire came close, but thankfully did not burn into the campground. We enjoyed the big trees, quiet shade and walking to the boat launch to let our dogs swim. Bathrooms and water on site. Cell service was weak, but usable.

We tried to use this campground, but it was full. The loop is tight, the other sites are larger with no privacy and it extremely difficult to turn around to get out after finding it full. This area is beautiful and the public day use was great for letting the dogs run while we stayed at Sue Meg campground. The ocean beach is rough surf and we avoided it to stay on the lagoon instead.

This campground is breathtaking. Deep forest right on the ocean. Huge ferns and many beautiful sites to choose from. Very quiet, the giant trees absorbed noise so well you could hardly hear a car drive by your site. The sites can have limited parking, but are huge back in to the forest. Can be chilly with all the shade and mists.
The big downside to this park is the overly strict dog rules. You can only walk your dogs on the roads. All the beautiful trails were off limits. We unhooked our tow vehicle and took the dogs to Big Lagoon each day to swim.
