The grounds feel tired and old with little up keep. It could feel so much nicer with pruned trees, cleaned up river banks, new concrete pads . The staff is super friendly and helpful. WiFi needs some rehab. Verizon Cell service in this area is disappointing too. We work while traveling and we were unable to have sufficient signal with our hot spot and slack WiFi .

We came to Mountain View to spend tome with friends who are full-timers, working and Airstream traveling on extended stay. Damien and Mike are great hosts. The Music Hall hosted a weekend artist which was an added bonus. And , the WiFi is strong! We will he back!

We really enjoyed our stay. Site 550 is on and end with a nice side yard and shade trees. The staff is pleasant and helpful. There’s a management presence to tidy and tend to things. People were well-behaved and orderly.
The town of Hudson is really nice and clean with great restaurant selections and great bike trails. One thing we’ve figured out after 3 years and 300 nights of camping... KOAs have standards which are most often met.

The setting is pretty but it’s set up for permanent sites mainly. Very little shade. The 99 degree weather and atmosphere kept us from stopping though we had a reservation for an overnight on the way towards Lake Erie

We were in section 4 and came to overnight with friends. While the lake and mountains are beautiful, we found the campground to be overly crowded, lots of kids, a mix of tent camping in with RVs, and dirty sites with light gravel, no grass and dirt. There were no visible signs of a clean up crew.
The access roads are steep requiring 4wd.

We were here in August with 4 other AirStreamers, sites 12,11,10,8, 23. After walking the campground many times, I deduced I like sites 12 and 13 are my faves. The river is widest And loudest at these spots. Sites 76,75 get more sun in case you camp in cold months. There are several roads off hey 74/23 so check your gps to avoid a few hair pin turns . Great restaurants in Sylva, and Dillsboro, and lots of hiking in GSMNP

We chose Fransted after a poor experience at Lost River in Woodstock NH. This property is one of the most beautiful we’ve visited. Great amenities- laundry, propane, full hook ups
Access to Trails from the property. Great suggestions from the owners for area exploration

We gave this place a try and aborted our 3 day reservations after less than 24 hours. The roads are tight and poorly marked
Lots of trees need to be addressed
The sites are unkept
Horrible cell reception with Verizon
This may be great for tent camping and a small travel trailer
Not ideal for 25 and 28 Airstreams

We enjoyed our 4 nights and will definitely come back! Site 69 is narrow as are many site with curbing on 3 sides. There’s room at the back of the site for sitting out but not much space under the awning. In hot months being on the East facing side, like 69, 25, would be ideal or in a high wooded spot on the West side 49,50,51, those site lack the feel of being on the water.
