This is a nice place to get out in the middle of nowhere. The sites are a little close but are staggered to give some privacy. We found a couple of good hikes and some nice drives in the area. Really nice bath house but not heated and for us in late October would have been a little cool. Now on her behalf the park closed down at the end on of October and a heated bathhouse isn't really needed in July. That is why we carry our own bathroom with us and she does provide full hook ups. Nice washer and dryer. Dana is working very hard to make this a great place to spend a few nights. I do a little astrophotography when conditions allow and Dana cut off every light she could to accommodate my needs. Can't ask for better than that.

Don't think there was any Verizon service but she provide pretty fast wifi.

Access was easy. The campground was busy and everything was clean and neat. The sites were a little tight. We were there for the local hiking so we didn't spend too much tie in the park. I'm a little late with my review, we were there the later part of June.

Never stayed at a KOA before, little pricy for us. We were meeting friends and they picked it. Friendly helpful staff that met us as we arrived, our site was large and level and the bathrooms were nice. You don't get much privacy. You are away from everything not not too far. Verizon showed 2 bars of 5G but I thought it was a little slow. I gave it 4 stars only because of price. They offer lots of amities but we are out exploring not hanging out at the park.

The site we we given was tight, the site next to us was maybe 20' between trailers. It's on a 4 lane divider road and the truck noise started up about 6:30 am. There were other sites farther away from the road with a tree buff that would have made a difference. Lou, the owner, was a little too helpful with the back in stage of things, I know he was trying to help but. With a little moving around we got level without blocks or anything. Out of Lou's control, but there was a dead, I guessing dear, over in the woods that gave our site a unique aroma. Luckily the nights were pretty cool so we did really want to spend any time outside. Lou has a nice rec room with a pool table, lots of puzzles, books a TV and some others things we can't remember. Guessing at the bars of 4G

It was a small (being the number of sites), quiet, clean park. It was 2 miles off interstate, the sites were pretty level and they were easy to get into. There are a number of hikes within the park as well as a lake. They have one dump station but having so few sites the dump was pretty quick. We had Verizon service but I didn't pay attention to the bars or 4g since we had wifi for surfing. So my information is a guess on the low side. I spent a few nights out doing astro stuff and it was a pretty good spot to be.

The road into the camping area was gravel and needed a little touch up. Now we were there at the end of the season which could make a difference. There are a number of seasonal RVers with we'll say a whole bunch of "stuff" outside. The sites are wooded, not particularly level and have good separation. They are really big on speed bumps for some reason. The bath house is a little dated. The only hot water is in the shower and that wasn't really hot. If I had a choice I would pick Gibson Cove Campground which is right next door. Asphalt roads, level sites, less tree cover, better dump station and a few dollars more, if you can get in.

This park was built in the early 1950's so most of the sites are on the small side. It had recently been pave which was nice however they are really big on speed bumps for some reason. Our site was big enough for us, pretty level and private. There are a number of hikes in the area, you can go fishing if you like and there is a 18 hole golf course which is part of the state park.

We enjoyed our stay. Lot of trails within the park. Some sites may have privacy issues but we didn't see it as an issue for us. We got lucky and had an almost dead level site but there are some tricky sites there so choose your site carefully. The roads within the campground are narrow and the sites, which are asphalt, are pretty narrow as well, maybe 10'. There was a 5th wheel across the road from us in a drive through that gave up, they just couldn't get level. Don't know where they went. Every morning and evening there were a number of deer roaming through the park. The bath houses are old but clean. Since there was no wi-fi and sad cell service we went to the lodge and use their wi-fi to download some youtube videos to watch a night.

It's a nice wooded park with asphalt roads. The sites are some what close to each other but the wooded areas between the site give you a level privacy. Our site, as well as a number of others, wasn't particularly level. I parked our trailer halfway in because if I had gone all the way back I would have never gotten level. The bath houses were spotless. There are a number of water fill stations throughout the park and 1 dump station. Do follow others as well as the parks warning about coming in on Chalkhill-Ohioplye Road. Do not follow your GPS blindly. There are number of hike in the area which is why we were there.

It was as little off the beaten path but the roads were good. All of the sites were wooded, the outside loop sites had more privacy since your door opened to the lake/woods. You have water and electric in the RV sites and I think there are more tent sites, dry sites, which can also be used for RV's than there are water and electric. Most of the tent sites are right along the lake. The RV sites tended to be higher and a little farther from the water but in sight. It seemed that most sites required a little help to get level. Bath house was fairly close and very clean. They have a couple of nice beach areas for playing abound in the water with picnic tables and fire pits nearby. Did want to mention that they provided 30 amp service vs the 20 amp shown here.
