We had a good experience here. It is set off the highway in trees, though you can hear the road. The sites and bathrooms are immaculate. There were a number of folks that seemed to be there seasonally…possibly for construction work nearby? We lucked out as the neighboring barbecue place is open Friday nights and the food was fantastic.

This is an expansive place with nice big level clean sites and beautiful New Mexico skies. We used the laundry and one of the dog parks. Both were fine. It is a great stopping spot along the hectic I-40.

This is a gorgeous place in a beautiful setting with large sites designed for big motor homes. We stayed in our Airstream on one of the grassy sites. There is a lot of room for each rig. As the other reviewer noted, there are no bathrooms or laundry so you need to be self contained. We enjoyed our stay and it made a great home base for outings to explore wineries and beaches.

It seemed like many of the big rigs come to stay for the whole summer season. And who could blame them? It is a lovely spot.

Made a good one night stop over place. The place is very well kept and clean.

I feel a bit duped by previous reviews. This campground is literally located in a freeway cloverleaf. It couldn’t be louder. There seemed to be quite a few full timers. It was extremely expensive at $71 a night. Ugh. Bad choice.

We had reserved a site in North Shore (windy, closer to highway but lake views) but there was a mix up with reservations and the VERY helpful gate attendant found us this electric site back up the road instead. It was a little farther from the road and had pretty landscape all around. The gravel sites are all pull offs at the side of the loop road. Windy and exposed but fine.

This campground is in a scenic spot just north of Durango. The place is very well kept and the person who led us to our site was friendly. Level, gravel, full-hookup.

The campground was forested (and as a result rather dark), with dirt roads and sites. I had expected a bit more. It was full, busy, crowded and loud when we stayed. The trees were nice.

This is a stunning state park where they’ve done a lot of work to create beautiful sites with lovely views over the valley, nice trails, great services and an overall wonderful place to stay. All that and a full hookup too. Next time I hope we can stay a week.

Wonderful location outside the park with clean, well maintained facilities. Very comfortable for a longer stay and great park access. The southern half of the park has more mature trees which was nice.
