What a gorgeous place! You are two miles into the park right in the middle of the stunning Sonoran Desert scenery. The sites have a lot of room between them. Many van campers were taking advantage of the beautiful mountain bike trails. Just water and electric but hope we get to stay again and again.

This is a beautiful state park, north of I-90 by a couple of miles, so very easy access. There is a bison herd and beautiful quartzite rock formations. We had 50amp service. The campground has many mature trees so the site had welcome shade. We were one of the first campers when the state parks reopened this year and look forward to staying again.

This is a stunning state park where they’ve done a lot of work to create beautiful sites with lovely views over the valley, nice trails, great services and an overall wonderful place to stay. All that and a full hookup too. Next time I hope we can stay a week.

We stayed in a beautiful water's edge site with our travel trailer. The park was full of families and summer campers. The site was grassy with ill-defined edges. We had to do some tricky backing to get into the site borders and get around our neighbors. The bathrooms were clean and we didn't use the showers. It was a lovely setting and I'd be glad to stay again,.

It is a wonderful location, close to North Scottsdale and in the beautiful Sonoran desert. We took a hike and visited the nature center. The sites are closer together than at McDowell Mountain Regional Park.

Despite spotty/non-existent cell coverage and close neighbors, you camp in easy to pull-through full hookup sites in a nice forest setting. A few steps away is Jackson Lake and amazing Teton view. It is expensive but we will return as often as possible.

So expensive, so many rules, such small tightly packed sites. You are parked on dirt. Nothing scenic fun or lovely about this place at all. And I’m out $81.

We have stayed here several times. It is beautiful, clean and well run. The sites are huge and widely spaced. There were three sewer hookups to choose from at our site. The long views of the Black Hills are beautiful. It is just a bit off the interstate which helps with road noise and the Spearfish location is perfect for exploring the Black Hills: you avoid all the tourist traps but can enjoy close access to hiking and beautiful scenic drives.
