“america the beautiful!”
From mid-April to mid-October the Camper Services building offers coin-operated showers, laundry, a playground and activity room. Reservations can be made on every site in the summer. During the winter season reservations are limited to the loop available.
A great - small - State Park. We have stayed her multiple times and we will come again. Very clean, modern and the camp spots are large. No shade to speak of, so prepare accordingly. You can spy on NORAD while you are there as it is litteraly a stones throw away. 20 miles of well laid out and marked hiking/biking trails. Not in the heart of COS, but very close to everything you need to make your stay comfortable.
Amazing little state park! Very beautiful scenery
Absolutely fantastic park & campground! It was beautiful. Perfectly maintained sites with area for camper and tent if you like. My husband said the site was incredibly level for connections - best he’d ever seen. There were stairs behind the campsite that led to a really cool area with 3 picnic tables for a group or family get together. Then behind that were trails leading up to a great area where you can play games or let the dog run wild! In the evening the campground was very peaceful and amazingly at 5pm we heard Taps played from, I’m assuming, the Air Force establishment nearby. Definitely want to go again and stay longer!

I spent four hours here and didn’t want to leave. It’s so peaceful and the trails are great. Go early in the morning on a weekday and you won’t run into anyone for a couple hours. Only $7 entrance fee good for 24 hours
Mountain biking and hiking all in front of a gorgeous mountain. I went when there was so much snow on the ground you couldn't see your feet but it worked out well. Spent a few hours wandering and there so some geocaches to find.
Nice place for a walk, helpful staff.
