This private RV Park is very friendly, clean and nice. Some of the sites are pretty close to each other- but for a night or 3 it was fine. They have full hook ups, clean laundry room, cabins, and a nice little dog park.
We stayed here late September and the elk were rutting and bugling all night long- which we loved! The park wasn't full- maybe 1/2 full during our stay. I think a few folks were long term. We chatted with some people in the park and they were all lovely. This park is a mix of RV Park/campground feel- but there are not a lot of choices in this area. We stumbled upon this place and are glad we did, we really enjoyed our time here. The little town had a couple restaurants that were good, a nice little fishing shop where you could get your license or fishing supplies, and a few gift shops.
We would stay here again if in the area.

We stayed here the last days of Oct. 2018 after several days dry camping nearby at Eagle Nest Lake State Park. It was nice to be in full hook ups again! The place was practically empty as it is very late season for them. Our price reflects late season and a Good Sam discount.

We were able to soak in the big hot tub, take luxurious showers and do several loads of laundry. Not our usual type of camping but sometimes you just need to splurge and spoil yourself. The Park is first class all the way- they take great pride and care of this place.

The location is great for visiting Tao's and several mountain towns nearby (Eagle Lake, Cimarron Canyon State Park, Red River etc.). We enjoyed our time here immensely and would stay again if in the area.

Great wifi, cable, friendly people and great amenities. We have nothing negative to say.

We were very pleasantly surprised with this campground. There are only 19 sites total and they are so big and generous in size. There are pit toilets, trash dumpsters and a water fill station- but no hookups at sites. We didn't mind at all- we like to dry camp on occasion.
The views from the campground are lovely. We were there late October 2018 when the leaves were still turning, there was snow topped mountain peaks and the lake was blue and full of fish!
There were only a total of 3 campers the whole weekend because it is late season.
We had 3 bars of 3G (Verizon) in the campground which was enough for calls, texts and some online searching. The fishing at the lake was great- you could launch a boat or fish from the shore. Also within a very short drive you can fish many streams.
We enjoyed a beautiful, quiet and inexpensive stay! We will come again.

We came to Spokane to visit family and sight-see. We found this RV Park here on Campendium and even though it didn't have any reviews yet- we took a chance. The office personnel were very friendly and helpful. They do take Good Sam- so 10% off!
It's a newer park with about 90 sites. We had a 50' back in site and feel our location in the park was the best! (G12) Hardly any road noise and we were backed into a business park so it was super green and super quiet. We even got lucky and their trees shaded our rig in the afternoon.
The hookups were good except for the cable. Firstly you had to practically get on the ground to hook up your cable in their box- it was recessed and nearly impossible with my man hands! Plus the cable signal wasn't very good we had a lot of static-y channels.
The location in the area was good for us. Close to the tourist sites and close enough to visit our family. The pool was tiny for this size park (about 25' X 15') and it was 105 degrees when we were here in August. It's only 3 feet deep at the edges and 4 feet deep in the middle- not a big body of water. Lots of families at pool during this summer heat so it was crowded and got kind of yucky by days end (We called it human soup).
The laundry room was a joke. They had 3 washers and 4 dryers. One washer was out of order the entire week we were there. No change machine for quarters and the office was out of quarters. I tried to get 2 loads done for several days but those machines were always being used and others were waiting. We finally said screw it and went to a laundromat in the area.
The family showers were amazing! There were 6 of them and they were spotless. I saw them being disinfected a couple of times during our stay. They also have a very nice Rec. Room.
All in all we had a good stay and would definitely come again.

We truly enjoyed our stay here at the Whittington Center RV Park Campground. It was our first time here and we found it friendly, affordable, clean and convenient.
You do hear shooting off in the distance but that was to be expected and it didn’t affect our enjoyment.
The black bears did come around to look for food and water as did the deer. We had no issues. It’s a nice campground with full hookups, Reasonably spaced apart sites.
Bathrooms were clean. The laundry room was just average and the dryer was loud- could use some work.
We had a great stay and would go back.

We just needed a spot for one night as we passed through the area.
This small family run park was very nice. It was clean, safe and friendly.
They have a dog park, small store and it is close to the village for shopping or restaurants.
The spots are really close together which was the only drawback, we even kept one of our slides in since it was only for the night.
We would stay again if we are passing through.

This is a nice campground/RV Park in Silver City. The location is great- close to everything.
We had planned on staying only 3 nights- but kept extending our time here because it was nice and quiet and there was lots to do and see in the area.
The people we dealt with by phone and in the office could not have been friendlier or more accommodating.
The park is dirt/gravel with lots of greenery which give it that campground feel and the sites were spread out nicely- we were in #61 which was very big and had open space behind it- the deer were plentiful there. We saw them each morning and evening. The full hookups worked great- we had no problems. We also got about 12 TV channels off our antenna.
The laundry room and showers were very clean and the free wifi worked well enough. We had a very strong Verizon signal here.
We will stay again when in the area and recommend you give them a try!

We enjoyed our stay here and the convenience of this location. This is a very nice park- but don't confuse it with one of those big fancy RV Resorts. This is a small and simple park that is well run, friendly and clean. The park is right on the road and you can hear the road- but it doesn't bother me (I like the white noise.) There are plenty of amenities (not fancy) but all nice and clean. There is a pool, a couple hot tubs, a playground, dog park, showers and a nice laundry room. The sites are pretty close together, but I have stayed places that were even closer. For a few nights it was fine. We were in a partial hook up site (electric and water) which was on the perimeter of the park which we preferred. The people checking us in were super friendly and accommodating. There is a basic little store by the check in and they have a ton of tourist information available there too.
All in all we had a great stay and would happily stay again if in the area.

We read a few other reviews of this place on other sites and they were meh, just OK.
I wish I could give a 2.5 rating.
We needed a place to stay for a week and this was the only local rv park that had availability. When we booked, the farthest sites in- the back-in sites were the only ones available- we didn't realize it was Spring Break time here in Central Texas. But we are thankful that site 37 was one of the only ones available because it is tucked back near the river on a big grassy area. Not to be judgey, but the front part of the park- where many long term people stay is ugly. There are old buses, storage containers and some very run down RVs and vehicles with crap all over their sites. I would say this accounts for the front half of the park. All the people we had interactions with were very friendly and nice (except one kind of scary guy who flies a Confederate flag and plays very loud music). This park has great potential if they would just make the long term folks keep their rigs, autos, and sites clean. Our site in the back was often very quiet and beautiful. You can walk down to the river. The tent sites also seemed really nice (and separate from the ugly part of the park).

People came and went during our stay and were mostly friendly. We had a some noise trouble a few of the nights. One time it was a weekend group that was next to us- their music was just uncomfortably loud (we couldn't hear our TV over it) but at 10 we asked them to quiet down and they did.
The other time was a long term person who played some extremely loud rap music (the Confederate flag scary guy)- we were many sites away but, not only could we hear the foul words- we could feel the thumping of the bass. Several guests around us were also upset by the noise but we were all intimidated by the men in that site so no one wanted to talk to them. It went on for about 1-2 hours and then they drove out of the park.

We used the laundry room once- it only had 2 washers and 2 dryers and it was filthy and stinky. The washers had hair and gunk around the rubber seals, the sink was filthy as were the floors. We have traveled this country for well over a year now and I have to say this was the worst laundry room of them all (65 places we've stayed so far). I spent some time cleaning the washers before I used them and while the loads washed- I cleaned the sink, the dryers and dusted the tops of all machines because I couldn't stand it. The restroom/shower facilities that were nearest to our site looked like a run down shack. Inside the restroom looked like it had been remodeled but not finished. The sinks were very dirty, the stalls had curtains instead of doors which felt weird. Again, lots of potential- just needs finishing touches and someone to keep amenities clean. A little investment and love here could make this "off the beaten path" RV Park/Campground amazing and a "Must stay" place.

We were surprised at how nice this little campground was. Audrey’s review from 2016 is spot on- but the trees are bigger now and the Verizon Cell was strong (LTE). The spots are spaced out nicely and the host was friendly- we would definitely stay here again.
