We were headed to Utah Lake State Park for a final overnight of the season. For some reason the campground was closed and so we made the very short drive back to Lakeside RV Campground. The staff was very accommodating upon our arrival and put us in a site that was near a fire-pit but didn't charge us the difference as it was a full-hookup site and we only wanted partial.
The campground has many trees that would provide awesome shade in the summer months. It is a bit hard to tell this late in the season but the grounds appeared to be cared for and and good overall repair. The pool area looked nice also and the bath house was reasonable and had several shower stalls.
There are several (the majority this time of year) full-time residents living here. Several of the rigs have obviously not been moved in quite some time. This wasn't a problem, just more of something to be aware of if you are not use to that type of thing. In speaking with one of the "residents" they indicated that the campground owners were easy to work with for long term stays.
The park is pet friendly but there are some weight to number of days stayed rules that you need to be aware of if you are traveling with 30lbs-ish of animals. There is a nice (but short) trail that borders the Provo River on the outside edge of part of the campground. The Provo River flows into Utah Lake and is considered a Blue Ribbon fishery. I am not sure how good the fishing in this specific section is, but further up stream it can be really great.
There were really only 2 negatives that we saw.
1) The lack of a fire-pit at our site. That might be a big positive to some but for us it was a bit of a drawback. Some sites have fire-pits (tents and small back-ins) and are all located on the outer perimeter of the campground. I did not see any pull-through sites with fire-pits.
2) The sewer hookup on our site was near the front of our trailer. Where I didn't pay for full-hookups it didn't bother me and we didn't use it. That being said if I was expecting full-hookups I would have had a challenge getting connected to it. There is a dump on-site. It isn't the best dump I have seen but appeared to be functional.

We stayed here at the end of Oct, 2016. We really enjoyed this RV park and will probably come here again to visit local family. It’s on the Provo River and has beautiful trees and a short walking trail surrounding the park.
- Dog friendly, has a nice long fenced dog area and bag stations by the trail
- Our Verizon signal was oddly low, 2 bars
- The wifi was good enough to hold an online voice meeting
- Price - we paid 38/night for full hookups
- The park was really clean and well kept
- There were a lot of sites, this park might get pretty full in the summer but was only about half full in Oct
- The site spacing was fairly tight, on the inner rows you get placed right next to one neighbor, but there’s a grassy strip and picnic table between you and your other neighbor.
- It was pretty quiet aside from the occasional plane/helicopter, there’s a nearby airport.
- Their website form asks for a credit card, but they don’t actually charge it online, they called us to actually make the reservation and we paid there in the office.
Pros:
- Beautiful big trees throughout the whole park, it was really pretty with leaves falling
- Really dog friendly with the fenced area and walking trail
- The park layout and surrounding trees makes it a pretty peaceful spot
- They have a nice little store for things you might need like shampoo/hats etc
- Really close to Provo/Orem area
Cons:
- Verizon signal was low
- Water pressure was a little low
- It’s a little expensive

Overall this is a great park, close to pretty much everything. It is a bit of a distance to Salt Lake City but worth the drive to stay out away from town and the freeway. Plenty of shade and a large dog park made this great for us and our Great Dane who loves to run and play ball. We met quite a few new dog friends as well. We were here for 5 weeks planning and completing our daughter's wedding and I was able to work and stream TV with 4 bars LTE on Verizon, T-Mobile and AT&T. Staff here are great allowing us to accept all forms of mail. Propane is very competitively priced and conveniently located at the park. We did not use the shower facilities but the laundry room is very clean with 5 washers and 6 driers. Swimming pool was closed during our stay, opens on Memorial Day weekend, the day after we left. Only downsides were the cotton trees shedding their cotton balls, this stuff was everywhere the last week of May, and there were a fair amount of flying insect around the beginning of May. All in all we had a great stay and will definitely be returning when we visit family in the area.

Overall good experience. Unfortunately, there are a high number of day trippers so a lot of in and out movement around us. Took a little of the relaxing out of it. Also, the parking sites are opposite of each other and close This means when you walk out of your door, you are looking at the neighbor camper walking out theirs. We were fortunate to have a great couple of neighbors so even though a little awkward sharing the grass between us, we at least got along. They have cable and the wi-fi was good. Pool was clean and well cared for, but a little small. It quickly became full with the campers in July. The town was very close so a quick jump on the road and you were there. Some wonderful bike trails right around the corner as well as the lake. You do have to pay a fee to get into the lake for the day but the 15 mile bike trail one way was free and well kept. The staff was friendly. They are trying to keep grass growing which means watering every night. Dont leave anything outside you dont want to get wet. Also, the "scenic trail" listed on the site is not. It is overgrown and the water doesn't move much so a little stagnate. Lots of insects fling about in early July. Also, many full time residents but didnt seem to be of any concern. Lots of large shade trees. It was wonderful to keep the heat down.

This was just a one night stay over for us but would recommend others stay here. Very clean with a nice pool and great staff. The park is very clean and lots of space between sites. Easy access from the highway and just down the street from the lake. We were able to walk down and spend some time there before we left. Will be back if I'm ever through that area again.

We enjoyed our time here. The park staff was friendly, the walking trail around camp was nice and bathrooms were clean. Spaces are close but the park was pretty quiet. We enjoyed biking to town and in the surrounding area.

As others have said this is a very nice campground, lots of trees in the middle of the Salt Lake Basin. Sites were of a good size though not huge. Everything was clean, tidy, and the staff were friendly and helpful.
It was nice being close to the Utah Lake State Park and I highly recommend a trip to Thanksgiving Point ... The Ashton Gardens were beautiful!
If there could be a negative, they are right next to the Provo Airport though there were only one or two flights out a day.
All in all a relaxing week!

Pretty much agree with the other reviewers. We've used this park before, but I think we've only stayed here in the early spring before the big trees are leafed out. I can see how their shade would be very welcome in the hot summer months but In April, with the trees still dormant and the mountains obscured by fog, the mood was rather melancholy. That said, the campground is easy to get to, the owners are friendly, the permanent residents quiet and tidy, the restrooms clean and the showers hot. Can't ask for more than that for an overnight stop!

Large pull through sites, lots of trees and a small store. Showers were amazing. Very nice staff and well kept grounds. Very quiet. Wi-Fi was good and LTE cell went between 2 and 3 bars without a booster. Sites were level and gravel.
