I stayed 7 nights in September. The weekends are full and busy, but it was still quiet at night and it seemed like a good crowd that was visiting. There are a lot of activities for kids, the pool is definitely resort quality, the food was all really good, and the drinks were good. It is not cheap, but it was worth it for me. I was able to visit the surrounding area without much problem; the only frustrating part was the traffic…it seems like you are driving with all the heavy traffic if you are going into San Diego in the mornings and back to the resort in the evenings.

I had a premium site. It was level, concrete, and spacious. The site came with a table, chairs, fire pit, and Adirondack chairs. Propane is provided as an included amenity for the premium sites, which was a nice touch. I would stay here again.

I stayed here one Thursday night. The additional parking area was very large and had about six other RVs there. It looked like one or some may have been there for a couple days.

The parking lot was level, well-lit, patrolled by security, and clean. It was very quiet, except for the occasional train which wasn’t really a problem.

Still $20. I went into the gas station and paid first. An attendant came out to unlock the cover quickly. It was clean enough for a dump and there is plenty of space for any size RV.

$20 feels like a lot, but if you need to dump, I guess you gotta do it.

If you have a low RV, two of the three driveways into the parking may be difficult because of the dips. It looks like people bottom-out frequently, so be careful.

I stayed here one night while traveling on I-80. We were able to call to check for availability for the same night. The staff was accommodating of our late arrival, and the site we were assigned was very close to the entrance and easy to access.

The site was gravel and dirt, mostly level from left to right.

It seemed like there was a mixture of travelers and long-term occupants in the park. I didn’t use any of the facilities. Power, water, and sewer worked as expected.

This was very good for a one-night stop. I drove in to the main hotel parking lot, which was like a courtyard-type setting. It felt very safe. Security and staff were routinely driving through the lot. There were a few other RVs there, too. I got food from the express BBQ, which was actually at the Shell station next to the “resort.” The food was very good, and it looked like there may be more parking available in that area in a dirt lot. The only issue I had, which was totally out of anybody’s control, was having the RV windows open while, at one point, the winds must’ve shifted and blown very strong cow odor our way.
It didn’t last too long and was fine afterward, but, without running AC, and the weather being warm, we briefly wondered if we needed to leave. I stayed and the odor cleared up. Everything was good and I left in the morning.

I stayed here for two nights when visiting Craters of the Moon. The sites are all pull through and are gravel. Grass, dead grass, and dirt made up the rest of the site. It seemed that new pedestals had been recently installed, so that was nice for electricity hookup. The park provided three different wifi signals. I only needed to try one and it worked really well. Probably the best RV park wifi I have used. The restaurant is only open Tuesday through Saturday, so I missed the opportunity to get food during my stay.

This campground was good for what it is. My site was dirt and dead grass, so it got a little messy…but it’s camping. The highlight is the private beach (Wages Creek Beach) which was awesome. The playground was a hit for our daughter, too.

There was a major power failure one night, so power was out most of the following day. The staff had everything working again by the following night.

The road in can be challenging. I drove from the US101 on Branscomb Road. It was fine with a 30-foot trailer since I went really slow. The driveway into the campground could use some maintenance.

The campground wind beach were very clean. Staff were routinely cleaning up campsites and the beach.

I got pizza one night at the Westport Community Store about a mile away from the campground…it was good.

There was no AT&T service at my site. I found some service at the beach and up the hill near the campground entrance.

Overall, this was a fun trip. The campground was lively and got us near the beach.

I stopped here for one night when traveling on I-5. It was clean, there were concrete pads, landscaping, and everything was good. Some of the sites (not mine) appeared to have awning covers. I didn’t use any of the facilities or anything. The staff was great by allowing me to have two sites so I could pull-through diagonally and not unhitch.

I was going to arrive after the office closed for a one night stay. I called ahead and was able to check in and get a gate code over the phone. When I arrived, I was able to open the gate and get to the site with no problem.

The waterfront sites overlook the San Joaquin River. I had a gravel site that was mostly level. The RV park and marina grounds were all very clean. I would stay again.

This was good for the one night stop we needed. The sites were gravel surrounded by grass. 30 amp power. Only gray water can be dumped at the sites, but there are black dump stations available to drive to. They don’t take reservations, so it’s just a show up type of situation. I checked in at the hotel registration desk. There is an RV park office, but the hotel staff said nobody works there. It was about $23 for the night with Good Sam. I would stay again.
