Easy for a big rig to pull in or out. I would say if it was particularly rainy the ground might be soft though. The campground is attached to their beautiful city park. In the main section of town are thirty or more world record oddities like biggest rocking chair, mouse trap, golf club and tee, mailbox etc. worth a day’s visit. Right off I-70. It is a small town with big things.

Campground has 50 amp hookups and water. Dump station as you leave. There are about 40 hook ups. The night we stayed there were maybe 10 campers.

When we first arrived we saw the turn into the campground and thought things might be tight for us. You have to watch the signs on entry or you could find yourself in the primitive spaces or where a trailer shouldn’t be.

Most sites are back in, but there are plenty that can accommodate a big rig like our 40’ fifth wheel. Some sites have a bit of slope to them but most were basically level gravel sites. There are many cabins and tent spaces. It appears they are equipped to meet the needs of snowmobilers as well as summertime tourists.

The wifi is fairly solid through the park. It did drop out a couple of times but we were able to stream over it. Weekends have organized activities. There is a nice pool and hot tub. Many trails which I appreciated for walking our dog.

Only improvements I would like would be to have a fenced dog area and more accessible trash dumpsters. The dumpsters were by the dump station which was a quarter mile walk up hill.

We aren’t golfers but this campground had excellent wifi, cable and cell service. About 1/2 sites are concrete pads rest are gravel. Restaurant onsite great food.

Interior roads are not paved so there is some dust. We visited Wakulla Springs and enjoyed exploring the area.

The sites were pretty full so I recommend advanced reservations but Michelle in the office is very accommodating.

We are return customers to this campground. It has level sites that accommodate big rigs. There are two sides to the campground, one has paved sites with about 10’ of space between campers. The other side is their rally site which is open and grassy. Most sites have full hook up on both sides. No issues with trying to park around trees on either side. If you are on the rally sites, if there is a lot of rain, I could see some of them being soft, but the weather was nice for us.

The WIFI was spotty and not consistent. Cell reception was great. We stayed on the rally sites. There were not a lot of campers, so there was plenty of room between sites.

There is a service facility on site and Tom Johnson’s Camping World there as well. There is a breakfast/lunch cafe in the main building.

We love the area, it is close to mountains and things to do. We will be back

This is an Escapees member park, but they do allow non members to camp. Even non member nightly rate is less than $30. Members discount is $4 less than non members. The location is just across the River from the downtown Branson activities. About 20 minute drive to theater district.

We appreciate the doggie park which was well kept. The park keeps their prices low by encouraging volunteering to maintain campground. Not required, but I was glad to help.

30/50 amp full hook ups. Sites are organized back to back so most will have back on site. Sites are mostly level with a concrete pad for picnic table. The park says they have wifi, but it was not usable for us. No cable.

Amenities include laundry, horse shoes, boat launch, community room for group activities. It was the perfect location for us as we were visiting Branson for the first time.

They are right next to the lake. When we arrived there was a flood watch, but it didn’t seem to get that high here. That might be a concern if people arrive during rainy times.

This is your basic KOA with all the amenities you would expect. Sites can be a little tight and if you have a big rig I would give them advanced notice as all their sites cannot accommodate. We were able to get a pull through that was long enough for both our 40’ fifth wheel and truck so we didn’t have to unhook for an overnight.

The managers are new since 2020 and are working hard on improvements. We are doing several stops here this summer as it is a convenient stopover to our destination in NY and it is a good stop on the way back.

Their cancellation and refund policies differ from KOA National so if that might be an issue read the fine print.

We travel with our basset so having a dog park is a real help to get her off leash. The dog park has some muddy and soft areas and not large enough for the dog to get a good run, but it is ok sized.

Anchor Down is a beautifully manicured campground with level cement pads for every site. Premium sites have a beautiful view of Lake Douglas and custom fireplaces.

Important to take exit 412 off I-40. Your gps might recommend another exit, but the roads would be narrow and winding.

While the topography is hilly, the sites are terraced in such a way that most have some view of the scenery.

Strong wifi, easy to get satellite TV, but you won’t need it because the site comes with cable.

Lots of doggie bags strategically located around the campground. The campground has a beach, boat launch, tennis and basketball courts, and doggie park.

Well maintained band a great place located not far from Sevierville, and the mountains.

This campground is located in a rural setting in Bremen, IN not far from Elkhart, Waukarusa, Napanee or South Bend. Sites are level with about 20 pull through sites. 50 amp service available.

We camp with a 40’ fifth wheel so we appreciated having big rig friendly sites.

Campground offers fishing, playground, driving range, WIFI is available throughout the park, but not strong enough signal for streaming.

There is a train track nearby, but the noise is not obnoxious. About 1/3 of the sites are dedicated to seasonals, and on holiday weekends they say they book fully.

Booked our site for one week so that we could visit the Ark and the Creation Museum. The campground seems well kept, staff are very invested in making sure campers have what they need. The area is hilly, so the campsites have been nicely terraced. There are multiple Wifi repeaters for internet access. There is a playground for kids, a pool, cute porch swings hung at the park office. My dog appreciated the dog park. I liked that it had two sections so if there are large dogs they don’t have to be with smaller ones.

When selecting a site, I would recommend staying away from the outer campsites as they are lower on the hillside. It rained several days and the lower sites become muddy even with the gravel layer they have. They are strict about not putting out items that interfere with grass, I am sure it keeps the mud down. When we booked our site, they would not guarantee our location unless you paid an extra $10 for a lock fee. If I were to come again, I would try to get a site toward the center of the campground.

We have a 40’ fifth wheel. The back in site we have is almost not big enough. We ended up parking our truck in one of their parking areas because we couldn’t fit it on our site. The Wifi is intermittent. The access road to the campground is narrow enough that two campers could not pass one another without one pulling off the road.

One one end of the campground, you are close enough to hear interstate noise.

Saw a couple of seasonal campers, but we stayed early in the camping season (May 13). There are several large pull through sites. It was rainy when we arrived and the campsites were grassy but a bit soft for our big rig. 50 amp service and WiFi available. Some low trees and turning a big rig in the campsite is pretty tight. When pulling in the driveway, the office is a sharp right turn with a light pole on the corner, so campers should be alert to make a wide turn to avoid the pole. There are signs at the turns from interstate, but no sign in advance of the driveway to the campground (left turn). There is a sign at the driveway pointing to campground. Payment when office isn’t open is an honor system.
