This dump station cost $10. Has a water faucet right there to hook up to with decent pressure. Easy in easy out. 2 minutes from the freeway. If you need air for your tires it is at the same spot you dump your tanks. Don't understand people who talk about leaky hoses and low water pressure. Use your own damn hoses and there's plenty of water pressure.

When you pull into the rest stop a sign directs you to go to the right if you want to overnight. There are about six or eight spots for semis and big rigs. I took one. If you are very sensitive to noise there is a gravel lot to the right by the big sand pile that you could stay also. That spot would be quieter as it's further from the highway and away from any idling diesel trucks. There were very few semis here overnight on a Wednesday.

I took the first pull through spot that Campendium's coordinates bring you to. It's a mildly waited road, but no problems. If you were traveling together two or three could fit in that giant pull out. I did not venture further up the road but about a half mile up I could see a few more RVs. It's a very quiet place which makes it great fun to listen to the donkeys , or probably they are burros , that roam the area. A few miles south of here is town of Gemfield and the International Car Forest. I had an entertaining ride around there with my EBike. Lots of great pictures.

Couple of miles in on a dirt road that is in good shape. Hosts were wonderful. My site was level and had a wood fire pit with grill. (bring your own wood, they dont sell it) . Also had a quality aluminum picnic table. At least 2 pit toilets. There is one spigot that has potable water, but you might need 50-60 feet of hose to fill your tank. Lake is a 100 yard walk. Very scenic area with green grass and red bluffs nearby. Between Hot Springs and Wind Cave National Park.

Another great campsite at Canyon Ferry. Level spots that are spaced out. Many on the river. Concrete launch ramp inside the CG. Nice picnic tables and fire pits. 25 minutes to Helena. Trout fishing. Mule deer. Clean vault toilets.

This dispersed area and the one compendium list as Nomad is really the same one, you just approach it from the North or the South but the road loops between. It's amazing that this dirt road is right on the edge of the Badlands looking into it. I was literally parked 10 ft from the cliff. Spent a week here which was longer than most. There were times when I could see probably 75 RVs with binoculars along the ridge. Then the heavy rains came and half left. Adequate dirt road. 5 miles from Wall and a few miles to park entrance. Probably will need to level unless you get lucky. Lots of places to park that would not require unhooking your toad. Saw NPS? Ranger drive through twice. True to it's name I had 40 views grazing at the cliff edge one day. Very entertaining

This free campsite is about two miles off the highway. Very easy to get in and out of. Some of the review mentioned bad sand but I didn't find that. Just be careful where you go. There are dozens and dozens of RVs here this holiday weekend, yet I don't think anybody is within a hundred yards of each other

This area starts about 1/2 mile after you cross over the cattle guard which is mile marker (mm) 26, That is the spot GPS brings you to. You have ATT and T Mobile here. I camped there and it was fine. However the next day I took my Jeep to Lake Louise and discovered there are about 5 miles of excellent camping just ahead. Just past the metal winter closure gate there is a large meadow with lots of spots. Then at mm25 is Slate Creek, another Big Meadow. Between mm 23 and 24 no spots. AT mm24 another nice meadow with couple of roads. Between 23 and 24 probably 6+ roads to camp on. At mm22 +- You lose ATT and TMobile coverage. There is NO Verizon anywhere, At mm21 is Grannier Meadows with several roads again, and after that it is a few miles down hill to the Lake with no sites. The pay for campsite at Lake is okay if you want bear boxes and vault toilet, but I would stay at one of the three free spots by the boat ramp on the water. There is even a vault toilet there. The road from ramp to CG is a doable, but potholed. The entire 9 mile trip is okay, but areas have washboard. It would be a 15,mph road for me in a RV towing a Jeep, but some people go faster, Be sure to visit the nearby state park, South Pass. Very interesting with 15 restored building you can browse.

Like the first reviewer I chose to drive in a little further. There was one spot that was somewhat iffy due to a giant rut, but I got by it and found a beautiful spot in the trees., about a quarter mile from the main road. Dixie has a ton of trails to take your Toad on. Also kayaked on Navajo Lake about 20 minutes away, which was wonderful. Campsite is at about 8000 feet, so not too hot in August. There is dispersed camping up about 20 different roads off the main road. Guaranteed to find a spot that you will like.

This is an older unit with smaller sites in general. Some sites will handle my 28 foot Class C and my Jeep. Others wont. Some sites are better suited for tents because of the incline of the parking area. Most All? sites have picnic table and firepit and tent area. Some have a wind/sun shelter over the table. I went around and rated sites 1-35, I rated them in size and how level they appeared. (Very unscientific). Better suited for tents: 4,5,6,7,19,23,25,32. Good for an RV without a toad:11,17,18,20,27,28,29,30 Good for RV with toad or a truck/trailer:1,2,3,9,10,13,18,21,22,24,26,31,33,34,35 Finally these next sites are larger like the group above, but not very level.8,12,14,25,32. Hope this helps. I was in 31 and my 28" class C fit with a Jeep and a nice water view,
