Yes, just like everyone says .... this park is really a park-ing lot. That’s okay though, ‘cause we’re just parking there right? Only 2 subway stops to the World Trade Centre & just 5 to 34th street. The access to Manhatten was amazing! We loaded our Metro Card with $40 each for 4 days and had a fare or 2 left over! Easy to buy & load your card at the Grove St station.

Spent an afternoon bike riding around the waterfront & downtown areas of Jersey City. Lots to see & do only blocks from the park! Tons of great restaurants & boutiques. We also rode our bikes thru the back end of the park & along the marina paths right to Liberty State Park. Locked our bikes up & got tickets tickets right there for the ferry that toured Ellis Island & the Statue. Was so easy! Hopped on our bikes after it was done & rode 15 min back to Liberty Harbor. 10+ convenience.

Yes. The sites are tight. Yes. You might hear your neighbour while they are INSIDE their RV & yes, the overhead parking lot lights may beam into your RV at night. Wifi is also not great. All tolerable, as long as you remind yourself that the access to so much .... while paying so little (relatively speaking) .... & at such a well run RV Park .... is totally worth it. I have travelled & stayed in NYC almost 20 times. It was a gamechanger for me to have my own home on wheels to come back to after a day of exploring & only have to pay ONE QUARTER of the price of a hotel room or AirBNB. I was surprised at how much I enjoyed leaving Manhattan’s hustle & bustle & returning to the relative quiet of Liberty Harbor. Often came back late at night & always felt safe. We WILL be back. BTW ... the staff are total professionals. Helpful & knowledgeable.

Good, clean RV park with excellent amenities & full hook ups. We just needed a spot to dewinterize and get the lay of the land before we headed further south. The owners were present and we very kind & helpful. It was fun to check out the neighbouring towns too. Lots of in & out traffic so it was good watching all the different RVs & license plates.

I think all the transient sites were pull-thrus. Individualized bathrooms with showers. Super clean. Wifi was spotty.

We thought we had won the campsite lottery when we pulled into our site. Pad was150’+ and we were directly on the river.

Had difficulties with the electric … our surge protector kept showing “negative polarity”. We tried it on a couple of other pedestals and it read the same. Checked with other campers, but nobody seemed to use an SP (hmmmm). Custodian came out … showed us that the wiring was correct by taking off the cover & exposing the b&w wires & their hook ups. I wasn’t really comfortable after that and heard from another camper that they too had electrical issues at their site on a previous visit.

Also? Site 29, while good on paper … proved to be directly beside the sump pump. Ummmm …. That means we intermittently smelled poop every day! Not good. I would recommend the park shut this site down. Not really habitable.

Very, very quiet campground and a great home-base to explore Selma & Montgomery. Bathhouses were good enuf plus HEATED! That was nice. We also spent a straight 1.5hrs in one due to a tornado warning & it wasn’t awful. We would come back, but would select another site.

We enjoyed our time here. A very pretty, free campground (gated with code) with lots of shade, picnic table, vault toilet & fire ring. Amazingly quiet sleeps & starry, dark skies. Some great hikes too.

The entry road was no trouble at all. Previous reviews stated it to be in rough condition. It was smooth & in great shape. Not a single pothole.

Close to Lakeland which is a very pretty place with lots to see & do. Grocery stores about 15 min drive away.

Pay careful attn to ur potential neighbours when choosing ur campsite. We had some aggressive, unleashed dogs & loud music on the other side of the CG and we were glad to be far away.

3 bars … no speed issues with AT&T

We needed a spot on our way further south. Somewhere close to the hwy, where we could clean the RV, get our trip groceries and have access to any hardware needs. This park was perfect.

Augusta has everything. We managed to hit an antique car show, De-winterize, sterilize our tanks, Visit downtown Augusta, walk the riverfront, visit the Morris Art Museum and get all of our groceries.

There are no bathrooms or showers.

I’m already wondering when we can come back and if we can stay longer. There has been considerable hurricane damage at this park, but that just reinforces how truly natural it is. We walked for miles on the beach daily ... enjoyed the lighthouse .... visited the nature centre for their “feeding frenzy” program and tried to experience all we could. Our site was quite open but we enjoyed seeing the ocean out our trailer windows. We had good separation from our neighbours. New bathhouses ... convenient & clean. Great wifi at our site for duration. No campfires. Too windy since most of the trees near us were felled due to the hurricanes. More forested loops in the park. Very pretty almost everywhere. There is one small loop that we deemed the parking lot. Not very scenic. I would not want a site there. Good water pressure. Grocery store is approx 4 miles away. We visited Beaufort for a day. Lovely Southern town.

We enjoyed everything Koreshan had to offer. The Settlement was so interesting and the River Trail was a beautiful bamboo filled 20 min, short walk.

Our site (30) had a VERY LARGE root system running thru it. We were able to back over it and position ourselves over top of it, but there were still many tripping hazards thruout the south side of the site.

It looks like the electric pedestals are new, but a lot of the privacy foliage at that area was missing. So? If ur neighbour doesn’t drive well into the site next door, they would be placing their chairs directly in ur line of vision as their rig won’t block the pedestal/empty foliage spot. In one case, we were sitting facing one a other. We resolved the issue by hanging a tarp for the duration.

Very quiet at night & close to all kinds of good amenities & outside the park hikes. The Sunday Farmers market was excellent for fresh produce & locally made prepared south american & mexican food. No need to cook on Sundays!

We never managed to snag a washer, but they were coin operated & reasonably priced.

The traffic to and from the beach was a little brutal. If ur at Lovers Key State Park before 11 and leave before 2:30 … u will miss most of it.

An enjoyable visit and if we can snag a site again, we’ll be back

We were evacuated from Fort Pickens due to potential flooding & tornado watch … we wanted to stay somewhere inland … easy last minute booking system for this park. Very thorough & informative confirmation email immediately. Very impressive administration for such a small park.

Check in was easy even tho the office was closed. We just called the posted #. Wifi was excellent! Laundry & bathhouse was very clean & homey. Looked recently updated.

The campground itself is very small & old, and while u can see some improvements happening, most of the trailers in the park have seen better days … some mixed breed dogs … on leash … were out and when we walked by they looked & acted like they were hungry & we were their dinner. Other than that, very quiet with some road noise.

I hope the owners continue to make improvements cause they’re doing a great job. Easy access to all major routes & close to grocery & hardware stores.

I don’t think I’ve ever read a bad review of this park & it’s obvious why! It really does check all the boxes: beach access, spacious/private campsites/fast wifi at the bathhouses …. Etc

There were a couple of issues for us that unfortunately the park can do nothing about.
we
1. Helicopter tours are constant … the helipad is directly across the atreet from the park and they can book 20+ tours a day. EVERY day. Each tour is 10-20 min long. U can do the math! Very disruptive & constant.

2. The traffic/road noise from the main thoroughfare outside the park is REAL. I never knew so many Floridian had after market exhaust noise enhancers 😹. Pending which way the wind blows u can sometimes feel like ur on a racetrack

Hopefully, u’ll be spending ALL ur time on the beach so u won’t have to worry about campsite noise. And what a beach it is!

Sites were close but did have foliage separation. Unfortunately, there was some kind of group on the loop over from us and they had set up a tent and held games for hours our first night. Lots of hooting and hollering. Probably 20 people. The second night they set up a band ... with a set of drums. Not joking!!! Played for over 3 hours. We complained to the Park Rangers but nothing happened. On our third night, our neighbours immediately beside us had “guests” ... 2 truckloads of people who came for cocktails & dinner .... we would give this park a try again because there was so much to do.... bike rides, walks, bird watching, beach going, close to some very pretty towns & good restaurants. We would try for a more private site next time. Wifi only worked at the bathhouses, but it was fast. Clean bathhouses too!
