Confirmed by 6 users | Last reported on February 18, 2023Expensive, but location, location, location. Short walk to PATH for a train to WTC or Broadway area. Very small sites that we barely fit into but all we did was sleep there. Also, the nearby bar we incredibly loud on the weekend, requiring A/C plus earplugs to sleep.
This is a no frills RV park. The sites are snug and are gravel. We paid $90 for our first night (a Thursday) then $105 per night for Fri, Sat & Sun. The showers are nothing spectacular but the water pressure and temp make up for it. The WiFi is OK at times...not the fastest but it works. The location of this park is FANTASTIC!!!!! It is a short 12minute walk to the Warren Street Wharf where you catch the ferry over to Financial District in New York or over to Liberty Landing. The cost to New York is $7.00 each way or you can buy a book of 10 for $55.00. The park is very quiet on the weekend but can get noisy during the week due to construction work around the marina. The sites only have water & elect. There is one dump station near the restrooms. I didnt use the laundry as I thought it was too expensive but it looks modern and clean. The staff helpful and friendly.

NYC doesn't offer up many RV-park choices, and it seems like this is the best available option close to the city. It's a large-ish gravel- and asphalt lot in the harbor, adjacent to a dry boat storage area, and fenced off from a massive parking lot used by NJers ferrying in and out of the city.
It's located in a gentrifying part of Jersey City, so coffee and dog salons are nearby. We took the Path train into the city--15-minute walk to the station, $2.75 each way, seemed safe, and drops you off in convenient areas of Manhattan. The RV park is also remarkably quiet, given its central location. The only noise of note was techno music throbbing from a car one morning, and rumbling construction nearby.
We did get a roach in our rig (not unexpected) and were crammed in between other RVs (also not unexpected). We parked against the back fence area, where you have fewer neighbors but also less site space. Central areas have picnic tables and more space. We didn't hang out much in the RV park, because it's like hanging out in a parking lot, but did notice that the nearby state park offers a pleasant green space and fantastic views of the city. You can even see the Statue of Liberty from the RV park on a clear day.
Front desk staff was helpful, shower house was as clean as an edifice of that age and location can get, and the pricey laundry room had newish, clean machines. We would definitely stay here again, for its proximity to NYC, ease of getting around and because there aren't any other choices.

With very few places to stay in & around the New York area we chose this park for its location. A short train ride on the Path Train we were taken into the station at the World Trade Centre and close to the underground.
The RV Park itself has been turned from a car park into a RV park and with this you are up close and personal to your neighbours. The sites are small but backing in is easy as of the angle and layout of each site.
There is only power & water available on the site and they also have a dump on site which again is easy to access.
They have a weekly rate which gives you the 7th day free.
Power 50 & 30 Amp.
Water Yes
Internet Ask at reception for the code. It can be a bit flakey and slow during peak hours.
Laundry Yes
This is a commercial area and there is construction works close by.

As other reviewers have stated, this is a parking lot, surrounded by other parking lots, and construction. The sites are tight, but all of our neighbors were friendly. We were here for two weeks and had a mostly negative experience.
I would recommend this park if you want to come in and out of NYC easily. Beyond that, you are gambling with sanity and safety.
My disclaimer is that we booked this park because I needed to be in the city for work, but my husband would be working in the trailer while we were here. He had a much more miserable experience. I think if you are coming to tour NYC during the day, you will be ok.
We were parked in the outer row with 30 amp service. The power went out pretty consistently, as many as 5 times one night. I would recommend booking a 50 amp spot if your rig can do that. We asked around, and our row seemed worse than the others.
One day I was in the laundry room and a fence post in the tent area caught on fire due to an electric conduit attached to it that, I imagine, was completely overloaded and burnt through its protective covering. I put it out with a fire extinguisher and after being told about what happened, I'm not sure the staff really did anything. Be careful.
There were many guests in RV rentals and we saw one rip off a neighbor's mirrors leaving their site. It's tight moving.
The wifi was good except at peak night hours. A few times the network switched from a password to a voucher with no notice. Not good for workflow.
The bathrooms and laundry were clean but a little run down. The dump station was not so clean. It was very windy there and garbage like plastic bags and bottles kind of wafted through the air. Welcome to NYC :)

This park is all about location, location, location. As others have said it's nothing more than a blacktop parking lot with sites so close you might well touch your neighbor. Plus for $90/night all you really get is electric/water (either 30 Amp or 50 Amp). However it's in an awesome location to explore the city. You're right next to the commuter ferry into the Pier 11 (Wall Street) and only 10 mins walk to PATH (rail line) or the ferry into World Financial Center. Plus Jersey City is super dog-friendly (we found several large parks to walk doggie around camp) and has tons of great food and beer options. We honestly loved our time exploring NYC and would come back here again for the same.

Liberty Harbor RV Park is a parking lot with water and power hookups (no sewer!) and fantastic access to New York City.
Our first site was C28, which was right next to the entrance of boat storage. One night at 11:30pm (after we went to sleep) we got a knock on the door from security asking us to move our truck. It hadn't moved in two days, so I thought the timing was a little weird, but they said our truck was in the way of the boat mover (or whatever it's called).
Our site was also next to a parking lot and construction workers would walk in between our trailer and the back fence all day long, we moved so we could have a little more privacy.
Laundry was clean but expensive. $3.00 wash, $2.50 dry.
The people in the office are nice and the location can't be beat. If there was sewer and the sites were better spaced I'd give it another star.

I refuse to base an evaluation on location. Yes, this is absolutely an outstanding location, all manner of public transportation is available. The staff is great, helpful. That's where it ends. This is a gravel parking lot, very tight spacing and not a lot of room for the toad. Lots of garbage scattered-cig butts, metal wires/hardware pieces, bottle caps, and general garbage like used paper towels. The only dump site is a hazmat site, tucked in a corner and has construction materials piled up around it. I watched an RV dump, then start to drive off but forgot to close his valve, dumping clumps of human waste, then use a hose to scatter the spill in the gravel. Bath/shower (men's) was perpetually dirty, one toilet continually ran for 3 days, the ceiling sheetrock is sagging/peeling, shower pans were loose. Driving a big rig with toad into the park is a stressful event, city streets are skinny, lots of construction, and cars park anywhere creating a maze to wind through. The site price is way out of line high, their laundry prices are outrageous ($3 wash, 2.50 dry), and they charge an exorbitant $20 for using their honey wagon. But, they are the only game in town. We will not return.

No questions about it - location-wise, this is the BEST place you can be to go to NYC. Getting there is tricky no matter which way you come from because you have to get through Jersey City, NJ and it is just not that spacious. We have a 42 foot 5th wheel and a big truck, and we did it. We saw other rigs in there that were bigger also, so it is possible. Make sure you check your route ahead of time and use RV navigation because some bridges are not too tall around there.
All spots are back-in and they are just water and 50amp electric, but actually not so bad. Of the rows in there, some are spots up to 40 feet, some are 45, and C row is up to 50 feet. So even with our big rig and truck, we were able to fit. Our truck was parked sideways in the front of the spot and technically it was larger than the space given, but our parents were staying next to us, so we borrowed a bit of their space. But it is possible, and if you cannot fit, just talk to them about a parking fee to take up some other space with your vehicle. The hookups are all at the back of the rig as well, but this works well. Spots are well defined so you know where you need to get to make it in your spot. Yes, you will be right next to the person next to you, but we have been at places with less space than that in the country, so this gains the benefit of location relative to the city.
Getting in to NYC or to other nearby attractions is so easy. There is the ferry that starts literally 500 feet from the RV park. At the time it was about $7 per person and it takes you down to the financial district on NYC side. It only runs on the week and we actually decided to do the subway for everything, so I cannot speak to the actual ferry service. Also to mention, if visiting the Statue of Liberty, Statue Cruises leaves from NY or NJ side, and on NJ side it leaves from Liberty State Park which is only about 2 miles away - very convenient! ($7 parking at the State Park)
Otherwise getting around NYC, just walk 5 blocks down Marin to the Grove Street PATH station which is a subway that has a few different routes around NJ and in to NYC. Red line to go downtown to WTC or Financial Area and Orange Line (on weekends might be Blue through Hoboken) to 33rd Street side and you can get off and transfer to another subway to get to anything up town. We were able to get to Times Square in just about 45 minutes including walking and changing subways. At the time it was about $2.75 per subway side on NJ or NY side and the unlimited plan on NY side does not work on NJ side. (contact me for more details about our trip and how we got around)
I marked cleanliness of the RV park as 4 star because it was actually pretty good. Things were straightened up, trash cans emptied daily and messed looked after. Yes, it is in an industrial area so there are large pieces of machinery driving around and there may be scraps of stuff in the fringes of the park, but I do not think it was a major problem.
The noise is the noise of the city. It will not be too quiet, but I mark that as 4 star also because it was what we expected.
Overall - this is the best choice - parking would even run you almost this much per day and hotels are so expensive. It is worth the hassle of getting your rig into the city and you will enjoy the quick access to the city.
During checkout you MUST sign out or they will charge you $40. She went over it with me at checkin and highlighted it, so they are serious about this policy. I think it was well defined and we made sure to do it. They want to know when the sites are ready for the next people.
Also a few blocks on the way to the subway is Club Bark which is a nice dog watching service we used. They keep the dogs inside unless you pay for a walk, but again, the service and cost was perfect for what we needed for one of our longer days in the city.

We wanted to visit family in NYC but did not want to camp an hour north of the city (we did that last summer). We were hesitant after reading the reviews but honestly we were pleasantly surprised. It was definitely a gritty Jersey dock kind of place but we found the people at the front desk VERY helpful and great people. We were fortunate that when we stayed for 2 nights in Mid April that there were not may people so we had some breathing room and were able to view the Statue of Liberty from our site - loved it!
The location is great and during the week there is a ferry that leaves from out front and drops you off in the financial district, the views from the short ferry ride were spectacular! It was a little more difficult (only a little) on the weekend where you have to walk about .4 of a mile to the subway station (next to a donut shop) to take the train into the city.
The showers were OK, have been to better and much worse - there were 6 or 8 so no real need to wait. The facility is again Jersey dock like but we would stay there again. It made visiting NYC easy peasy!
