Confirmed by 5 users | Last reported on August 01, 2022Very nice park with many amenities. Nice spacious sites with room to spare. Clean rest rooms. The showers were set up like a private bath.
Each was a room with a shower, toilet and sink. Wife loved this.
Immaculately clean and well maintained park. The spots were spacious and fairly level pull though spots. It wasn’t the most natural setting but it did have a pool, tennis courts, playground and mini-golf course.
Newly refurbished formally KOA, with 150 sites, about 75% long pull throughs. All sites have 20, 30 & 50A, water & sewer. Sites are gravel, mostly level and some have fire pit/grills and picnic tables. Eighteen private bath suites (individual rooms with sink, shower & toilet. Very clean. Two pools with rec room, fitness center and a rally room. The cable reception is unusually good. Three dog runs. Located just off I-95

Good, clean RV park with excellent amenities & full hook ups. We just needed a spot to dewinterize and get the lay of the land before we headed further south. The owners were present and we very kind & helpful. It was fun to check out the neighbouring towns too. Lots of in & out traffic so it was good watching all the different RVs & license plates.
I think all the transient sites were pull-thrus. Individualized bathrooms with showers. Super clean. Wifi was spotty.

Raleigh Oaks is located literally just off of I-95, making it a great spot to stop into overnight for road weary RVers. The sites are a decent size and almost all pull-thru, with full hook ups. The location is near Smithfield so there is some shopping and places to eat but it's far from most of the attractions of Raleigh (it's closest metro). The people are fantastic, and were beyond helpful, with everything from mail services to helping us find a RV repair service on site due to a problem with our awnings. Additionally the facilities themselves are kept clean, save the miniature golf which is somewhat unkept. They have added upgraded playgrounds recently, good for the kiddos and the pools are always well kept with a few games available.
Definitely a place we'd stay again for a short trip, especially traveling the east coast on I-95, but for longer stays be prepared to not have many scenic options close by.

This is a great campground to stop off for the night as well as if you are looking for fewer activites and a little lower key. The facilities are nice and well maintained, clean and all were functioning properly when we were here. The water pressure is high (~80 psi) so use the pressure regulators or fill your tank and work off the pump. WiFi was OK in the evenings but a little too saturated during the work day.

This resort is easily accessible off I-95. Access into the sites is also very easy, as all the interior sites are pull thru. Expect gravel roads, gravel sites, and concrete picnic pads. The sites are roomy. The amenities are very good (e.g. pool, pickleball courts, individual bathrooms, club house and lounge areas). Thursday night they offer dinner for $5. And Friday to Sunday mornings, a complimentary waffle breakfast is offered - and those waffles taste great! The resort is maintained very well.
During our stay we drove to downtown Smithfield and visited the Ava Gardner museum. It was a good way to spend some time in the local area.

This is a very nice RV resort! I was stopping over for one night, on my way south, so I wanted easy on/off I95, a pullthrough, full hookups and safe and quiet. This park ticked all the boxes. I was in site 201, a level, graveled pull through. Although this is a large park, with lots of pull throughs, it doesn’t feel like a parking lot. There are three dog parks, a playground, swimming pool, propane and multiple laundry rooms. The park was also very quiet - some road noise, but the park, itself was quiet.

This was a decent campground but not really any nice landscaping or fun things nearby. It's quite a ways from Raleigh out in a rural area so along with that came the Trump flags a flying (including people I believe work here and live here). The sites are spacious and it's a big rig friendly, easy to navigate campground.
The wifi was good enough to stream with and was solid at all hours, through the weekend.
Since the wifi was good, I didn't remember to check signal strength but no issues with Verizon or ATT having cell service. Due to COVID most things were shut down as far as laundry etc goes.
So if you have to stop somewhere a few days around the Raleigh area then it'll do but it's not exactly a destination campground.

My wife said it best. She saw pride of ownership. Needless to say that we only stayed one night but from all accounts, this campground seemed to have it together. All facilities were clean and in good order, three nice dog areas, recreation areas which I am sure are busy in good weather and without Covid. As important, they seem to take the virus seriously. There is a contactless check in process and plenty signage showing the managements concern for the health of their customers.
