Full hookups at reasonable price right off I-70. Called the phone number on the booth & manager was nice, easy to work with. Cash only. We took time to explore the small town & discovered outstanding city park nearby where we spent the evening. Ran AC to drown out highway noise.

Clean, secure spot just off the Interstate. You go through a sketchy part of town, however, the KOA is secure and quiet. Decent WiFi- just a clean stopover on our way to White Sands.

It is a little pricey for what we needed, but took advantage of the laundry. However, the adjacent casino only allows in-state residents during Covid. Friendly staff helped us find our site and we enjoyed a cool evening watching the stars light up the sky.

After a day of driving thru horrible weather, our hosts could not have been nicer and more willing to help. Clean campground all around, fantastic WiFi and great location near I-90.

While a bit out of the way, Lake Sumner is an outstanding state park. We stayed overnight in the Pecos campground w/electric & water. Clean restrooms/shower were availabl, but did not use them. Each site has picnic table w/3-sides structure to block wind &sun. Beautiful lake & we were sorry we didn’t have more time for this spot.

Outstanding camp site with level pads. Sites can seem close together as these sites may get crowded, but we enjoyed the beautiful scenery. Bathrooms were clean and camp hosts were friendly. Don’t miss the National Historic site Cliff Dwellings just across the highway.

Stayed here in early March so no fees/no services. However, would have been happy to pay minimal fees at this corps of engineers site. Short hiking trail nearby and beautiful views of the lake. Plenty of trains nearby, which seem to slack off in overnight hours.

Price is $10 May-Sept, free rest of year. No services out of season. We were only campers. This COE site obviously flooded LY, but new gravel put down for pads - which was soft. Since we were only campers, we boondocked on side of campground road. Water & pit toilet available in summer. Just a couple miles from I-35, good place to overnight - you might hear a few trains throughout the night.
