We pulled into this little rest stop at 11pm to sleep for continuing on our journey. Lots of parking, lots of truckers that turn on their generators so if your a light sleeper this is probably not for u but if u are the type to toss back an Advil pm and looking for a cheap place to stay this is your dream parking spot! Clean rest rooms and well maintained lawn and picnic areas, and just far enough off the freeway u can hear the traffic. I give it a 10 on the sale of freeway rest areas!

We enjoyed our stay at Whispering Pines. We are in a 42 foot motorhome pulling a jeep and they had plenty of accommodating spots. Like someone else stated it’s like 2 RV parks, one out in the open and another back in a wooded area and we also would preferred the wooded area if we visit again. This park is very pet friendly and everyone seems to clean up after them, it has a large fenced area for letting them run around. We were close to the garbages and dump station and had a bit of a hard time connecting to the internet and the cell reception was lacking. Overall the park was very clean and everyone we bumped into walking their dogs of passing our site were friendly.

We were worried about finding a spot so late but when we called they had a message stating that after hours check was available and that open spaces would be posted on the office door.

As soon as we pulled in the camp host came over to greet us and give us the details about WiFi, showers, etc.. The next morning I woke up and headed to the showers, which were unbelieveably clean.

Our stay was short as we had to get on the road early but we noticed our camp host was out grooming the gravel and checking the laundry and bathrooms to make sure all was well. My husband went to pay and this being our first adventure in our new RV we had to pay a bit more because we didn’t know the ins and outs, the camp hostess gave us all the information on Good Sams Club for discounts. You can tell both hosts take great pride in making this little place clean and inviting.

I was a little concerned about staying when I saw the low review but as far as I can see the ONLY downfall this park has is uneven ground and the lack of septic. The marina and beach area is beautiful. They have a little coffee shop/breakfast stand that’s open Thurs.- Sun., a restaurant with a patio giving you a gorgeous view of the lake and surrounding mountains. The whole park is clean and well maintained. We came at the end of July and the top RV area was dry and brown but the lower came was still nice and green. We forgot to transfer our plug adapter into our new motorhome and the host offered to lend us one if we would rather be in the green camp ground which I thought was very nice. I didn’t ask about usage but there was a stack of kayak and paddle boards close to the beach. You do have to pay for access to wi-fi, so we just used our cell coverage. I would def. stay here again and I think our grandkids would love it here.

About 30 minutes before they closed the main office for the night we received a pleasant call asking if we still planned on staying the night. I explained that we had been on the road for 10 hours and would be arriving within the next 10 minutes. When I got there the office gal was very nice and took her time explaining all our options and codes.

They had asked how many slides we had when I booked and made sure to put us in a large parking area, it was 25 x 50 wide and was more than spacious and it backed up to a very nice green field where kids were bumping a volleyball around.

Since we were coming from cold climates and it was our trailers maiden voyage we hadn’t filled our water heater so I walked a short distance to the facilities to shower in the morning. On the way there I must have been greeted “good morning” by at least 4 different families that were staying there. The showers and bathroom area was very clean and I met a older woman who was from a town in Idaho about 2 hours from me and we chatted for quite some time.

When staying at the RV park get a discount at the resorts golf course. You also have access to the rest of the resort which includes, a pool, an 8 theater cinema, multiple dinner and breakfast options and a casino.

We loved our stay, we felt the RV area was clean and well maintained, it was quiet yet kids still rode around on their bikes and played ball in the field. We would recommend this park to anyone.
