The campground is in the rolling hills of the driftless region of SW Wisconsin near the Illinois and Iowa borders. Located on high ground overlooking fields and farms, the views are equally beautiful and peaceful.

The sites are well- spaced with gravel pads and grass for areas in between. Some have a bit of an incline, but not overly so.

The staff is extremely nice and accommodating. Bathroom facilities are well maintained and very clean.

Wifi is fast with several nodes, including one behind site 34. Speed test from inside the camper: 47 down. 26 up with 8ms latency ATT 2 bars 4G.

The town has several typical Wisconsin bar/restaurants for a night out. Dubuque is close, and a 25 min drive to all things Galena.

Overall a great place, highly recommended

We spent four nights at Watkins Glen. Check-in was easy and quick. No extra entrance fee if you're staying at the campground. Two new dump stations to the left of the main gate are easily accessible, simply requiring an extra loop past the entrance building. Fill up with water on the way in so you don't have to block a loop to fill up in the campground.

This is a beautiful campground with a tall tree canopy. The price paid for that is challenging access to many of the sites for larger RVs. There were a number of sizeable RVs there, but you just have to pick your site carefully as a number of sites are guarded on each side of the entrance with a large tree.

The sites in the back loops don't have electricity, are small or very tight access, and are best for small tent trailers and tents. The reward is relative seclusion and easy access to the gorge trail by site 189.

The restroom in our loop was obviously a veteran of many camping seasons, but still clean and fully functioning. Showers are fine.

This is a great area for varied exploration. In three days we hiked the gorge, visited the Corning glass museum, went kayaking, and visited a winery/brewery.

Excellent experience in the campground and the area.

Initial entry to the park requires a one-night entrance fee if you don't have an Indiana park pass. Subsequent nights are covered by the camping fee. Check in was simple and the staff was very helpful.

We stayed 2 nights in site 70 while visiting family. The site was close to level with a gravel parking area and a large maple tree in the back corner. Forest behind the site, so rather pleasant. Generally, this campground is wide open with scattered trees. Bathrooms were all functioning. Lot's of families rolled in Friday night, so it seems to be a big weekend destination for local folks.

We didn't really experience the park, but it contains a wide variety of landscapes with the lake, wetlands, and forest. Lots of fishing and kayaking going on. We were told the hiking is good as well, particularly since it's in Indiana farm country.

Easy access and equidistant from the bypass around South Bend/Mishawaka and US30 in Plymouth.

Check-in was straightforward. We spent one night in Site no 4 as part of a transit through the region. GPS may try to optimize the route, but recommend using SR 18 if you're coming up from I-80. Also, this area has a road feature called "jug handle" where you exit to the right to turn left. So if you're coming north to access the campground, stay to the right as you cross the reservoir and look for the "all exits from right lane" sign.

This is a campground of two areas, one beautiful and the other cramped. The electric sites are close together while the more desirable, higher numbered sites are without electric. We stated in site 4. It was level enough we didn't even unhitch since this was an overnight stopover.

The reservoir is huge and many people had boats with them. We heard a lot of children having fun, so seems like a great family place.

The sites are electric only, or no hookups. If you drive past the first loop, there is a water spigot with a parking area to fill up tanks. We found this after we hauled a bit of water from a few campsites away.

The access road is a bit narrow and bumpy. Check-in was straightforward.

The sites are large and relatively level, although site #9 slopes to the back. Entrance to the sites seem to be fairly wide, so back in was not too difficult.

This is a nice campground in the forest with easy access from I-91 and the town of Brattleboro. Bathrooms are basic, but clean and functional. Overall a nice, quiet campground.

Stayed 2 nights as a jumping off point for a long journey back to Wisconsin. Sites are well-spaced with a lot of large trees. Quiet campground overall with a lot to see in the area. US-20 traverses the state park, setting us up for a road less traveled eastbound journey across Nebraska. The bathrooms are adequate. Overall, a very nice homebase for a couple days to explore the history and geography of the region.

ATT cell service sufficient for calls and modest internet access.
