Great spot away from majority of campers until the weekend. Showers had cold water more than hot. My stay was wet wet wet.

We go here a lot being only 20 miles away. It’s a very spacious campground with plenty of room to spread out. Way back in a state park surrounded by trees so it’s very quiet. Easily our favorite state park in Indiana, we’re lucky it’s a short drive for us. Only downside is limited cell signal (not data, cell signal period) for Verizon. ATT gets full signal here.

This was our first camping experience as full timers. Great park with lots of space between the sites and each one has lots of grass. Be aware that some of the sites can get quite muddy if there has been a lot of rain. It is mostly a weekenders campground. Super quiet during the week and sold out on the weekends.

Plan ahead if you want to stay here on a weekend. Getting a site is quite difficult, even when booking 6-8 weeks ahead, and in the autumn it's even worse. In early September it was impossible to find a weekend site until the park becomes "walkup only" in November. Please people, if you can't make the trip, cancel your site -- there were a few empties which were obviously booked but not used.
Look at photos and read site descriptions very carefully --- look for what could be muddy conditions.and level, especially along the treelines on the western edge, the sites are not quite as level as they appear. We had to move sites during our stay because it was impossible to level our rig even after deploying every leveling blocks we had - and we have a lot. Because it was so full, we had to suffer for 2 nights before a site was free. The one we landed in (105) was the more desirable spot.
The sites are spacious most have at least some shade provided an adult tree, although some of them are dying out and replaced by seedlings.
The park itself has a wonderful paved bike trail which will take you about 1/2 way around the lake where it mysteriously stops. Why it has never been extended I can't say. It also ends mysteriously not at the main gate but just at a random road inside the park.
The lake is manmade and suffers from the Bluegreen algae that plague so many reservoirs. There is a swimming beach, canoe rentals, bike rentals, and a small camp store. The prices were typical for such places.

We didn’t know if we would be able to get a spot while driving through Indiana during the week, and were unable to make a reservation because ReserveAmerica won’t allow a same-day reservation and we were unsure of the exact day we would arrive. Thankfully we called ahead when we were about 2 hrs away and the ranger told us that had plenty of sites available. This campground is pretty huge, so we were happy to have a place for the night with free showers and trails to walk our dogs. Everyone says the weekends are booked out weeks (even months) in advance but weekdays seem to be less crazy.
It was a good place for us to stop on our cross county move (even during the COVID-19 pandemic).
It was a green oasis is this small town in rural Indiana. We were very surprised to be honest. Didn’t expect much when we were driving into town, but the sites and facilities were great!

As was said earlier, these are nice electric spots with plenty of room between neighbors. Water is available near the entrance and bath house/ restroom are above average with some mold on the shower walls. #19 is a shaded spot.
The park is full of ponds and lakes that have green algae considered moderate at this time.
