We stayed here with 2 other rigs for 3 nights. We made a reservation on the phone with Dennis and follow-up was via text. The owner is super friendly and hospitable. There is no office onsite and there is a self check-in pole to fill out your form and pay. The owner will swing by periodically to check on you, and brought us fresh cucumbers from his garden one day. The park is in an industrial area but has a very comfortable feel. The sites are pretty with older trees and lots of shade in some sites. There aren't a lot of other options in Glendive and the owner has really tried to make this a comfortable place. Easy access.

Their rates have been raised from what is published on their website. This park is mostly long term renters in run-down trailers with lot of junk on their lots. Many sewer connections don't have caps so you get some stink. The entire lower section is closed for some reason. Natalie in the office was very nice and the other residents were also very nice. We would not stay here again. The KOA just down the road is beautiful, and not much more money.

For clarification purposes, Long Jim Loop Road is just that, a loop. The road is marked with a sign at the south end of the loop "Local Access Only." Just continue north on Hwy 64 to the northern entrance. When you turn on this road you will see the Forest Service sign stating a 14 day stay limit. We loved this area for the convenience to the park. You are literally only about a mile and a half from the south entrance gate. It was extremely windy several of the days we were here, with gusts to 40 mph or so. It was also VERY dusty, especially with the gusts. The paved bicycle path goes from in the dispersed camping area right into the park, about 6-7 miles to get to the Village. Cyclists should have a Parks pass to enter the park, but you will not need to use it or go through an entry gate on your bike. Solar can be difficult in some areas due to tall trees. There is room for many rigs, but a lot of the areas suitable for bigger rigs were taken by smaller setups.

This place is hard to rate. It is full of very long-term campers, with many rigs very rundown. The office is unattended and you check yourself in, paying by cash or check and putting your payment envelope into a slot. We didn't hear any planes, but I don't know how you would with the freeway noise. There are very few spots unoccupied by long-term residents We arrived at 3:00 and there were only 2 sites left. The location is great for an overnight, as it is located right near both Hwy 287 and I-40. Sites are level, all pull throughs, and electricity worked well. WIFI password did not work and there are NO amenities. Price paid reflects Passport America rate.

This was a lovely park, heavily treed. We stayed in one of the RV sites with water and electric only. Most have sewer as well, for $35. There were about a half dozen long-term residents there and lots of open spaces until Friday night. They have some very nice tent spots as well. This is the most convenient spot to camp outside the west entrance to Mount St. Helen's. There is no camping inside the park from the west entrance. The restaurant next door was nice, and reasonably priced. We had no cell service in the campground.

We absolutely loved this place. It's on the property of Fort Buford State Historic Site, maybe 0.25 miles away. There are plenty of trees but we found a spot with enough sun to adequately get the solar we needed while still in among the trees. It's between the historical site buildings and the cemetery. There is plenty of room for multiple rigs but only about 3 spots designated with fire pits, trash and picnic tables. The stay limit is 4 nights without permission from management to stay longer. Verizon signal was one-two bars. The historic site is well worth a visit, as is the Missouri-Yellowstone Confluence Interpretive Center. There is some road noise.
