Self service. Find a spot and put the payment in the slot. Spot are pretty Level and there is shade in the evening. Pay is by cash or check only. Right next to a field with donkeys, Longhorns cattle and a small ostrich (or a large emu). Great place to stop for a night to rest.

Quiet place, $28 to stay the night, great place if you are just passing through like us. Full hook ups.

The Good:
This was conveniently located right off the highway. Had full hookups for 12.50 (with Passport America discount). Drop envelope in the office door, honor system (cash or check). There were some interesting farm animals at the fence line, Emu, Burro, Llamas.
The Bad:
Gravel sites, a bit unlevel but we were able to level our 40' MH fine.
Watch out for ticks (probably from walking over the the animals). Some road noise, near an airport, quite a few fulltimers with LOTS of little barking dogs.

We stayed in site 7. Would stay here again as an alternative to a truck stop or rest area. This isn't the type of place you head out for on the weekend.

Great Over Night Spot with FHU for $13.50, there's no bathrooms, showers, laundry or swimming pools but your not paying for them, we are 38' with 4-Door Jeep JK and had no problems maneuvering the RV camp or site, we are boondocking animals and love this camp for the price and will stay agian.

Convenient, everything worked, FHU for $14/ night. Some noise from the highway, if the wind is out of the northwest aircraft fly overhead but not constant. Very quiet and only issue is getting someone on the phone who can decipher the password for the internet. :)

No frills. Full hookups for $14. Level. Jets overhead coming in for landing at nearby airport are pretty loud. Freeway noise is pretty loud. Jets seemed to stop after midnight. When you are weary and need to stop, this is acceptable for the price.

Easy access, self serve office/check in. Kind of a no frills place, hence the price with Passport America discount. Close to Amarillo, shopping, gas, restaurants, etc. Road construction on the Highway. Long sites with full hook ups. Very few picnic tables. Site #4 has one. Good TV reception with antenna. Weather was nice while here but extremely windy. Some road, train and airport noise but bearable.

We have stayed here twice for quick overnights and would do it again—or stay longer if we had local business. No frills but good water pressure, clean grounds and reasonable WiFi at a good (PA) price; totally satisfactory! Long timers we’ve spoken to have all been friendly, and despite proximity to freeway and the rundown appearance of some permanent/long term rigs, I’ve felt safe and welcome here traveling solo with young kids. Kids like the nearby animals. Park fills in by 3pm, so come early. Bring earplugs if freeway or airport noise bothers you. On our most recent stay, I thought I was out of luck for a space but was circling around again just to be sure when a red truck appeared. A man (later identified by a resident as the “big boss”) with a gravelly voice asked how I was doing and told me to stay put while he got me a site...then returned and guided us into a space I had overlooked (#40) before disappearing down the road. So thankful!! Site quality marked down for being unlevel (3 inches L/R).

The campground is just off of I-40, so that was convenient for running errands in and out of Amarillo, which was needed as there is no laundry or other amenities on-site. No one was working in the office, either. You just pull in, find a spot, and set up, paying at the office door with the envelopes provided. There was a camper with a riding lawnmower, so I imagine they were the on-site campground hosts. But in our experience of a short, two-night stay, the residents kept to themselves and we camped hassle free. Despite the lacking presence of any sort of "authority," the park was very quiet through the weekend. When pulling in on a Thursday around 11a, we were able to pick from roughly ten available spots.

As an older review mentions, our site was not level, creating a 3º lean, requiring us to drive up on boards. But the water and electric pedestals worked just fine. The sites were long and all pull-through, so very easy to navigate.

This park will be amazing in a few years when the tree saplings grow up to full height. In the meantime, if you're camping there in the summer, make sure your A/C works because there's really no reprieve from the sun and the constant (and I mean constant) 10ish mph winds keep one from extending an awning.

I arrived just before 6 pm and got the last available spot. For the price its a great spot to overnight or maybe a couple of days if you need to shop in Amarillo. Park is older but clean. Lots of permanent folks but everyone was very nice. De3spite the looks it felt very safe. There is a farm behind it that has emus and llamas-kind cool to see after a long drive. IMPORTANT NOTE- HAVE EXACT CHANGE. Not sure if the office is ever open but have exact change or a check to pay. I didn’t’ but some nice folks made change for me. Less than 100 yards from I40 but noise wasn’t an issue. The downside was the WiFi password would not let me connect as the signal kept dropping and I had no service for T-Mobile. All in all $14 Passport America price for full hookup is a great deal.
