Busy dirt road so be prepared for the dust. Just 8 tenths of a mile to the south gate. Most sites have rock ring for a nice campground fire.

It’s within the national forest and just a few miles south of Grand Canyon Village. We pulled down a little gravel and dirt road, which led us off into the forest. On either side, there are little pull-offs under the trees with a campfire ring and usually some log seating. We were met with some gorgeous starry sky views (including some shooting stars) when we got out of the car and most spots seemed nice and flat. It was very easy to just pull in at an empty spot, set up camp, and drift off to sleep. We had a very restful sleep, saw that we weren’t too far from a few other campers, and had a very short drive of a few minutes to the Grand Canyon that morning. It was a perfect spot and we’ll probably stay there again on our next visit. (Oddly enough we didn't see a canyon. Did we miss it?)

We tried to get in on both ends of the loop. The roads are very bad if snow and mud are present. Had to move to 306.

We got here after obvious rain or melting snowfall. The entire loop was a dirt road but the side branches were all muddy holes. We are sitting here stuck in mud waiting for the wrecker service to arrive from 20 miles away, at $300 for the first hour. Our 23-ft RV is stuck. Our Jeep Wrangler is not stuck but is unable to pull the RV out. Stay away if the dirt roads look wet!

We stayed here overnight to go to the Grand Canyon in the morning, there were a few RVs and campers so we knew it was the right place. Super easy to find, calm and quiet. Perfect after our 6 hours drive from the North Rim. I would definitely recommend this place for an overnight stay!

Great location off highway 64 near the South Entrance of the Grand Canyon. Got here in a Monday about 10 AM, multiple available sites. We stayed at the first spot on the left (approximately 2 tenths of a mile from the highway). Road noise not a factor for us. Someone did share the site with us for part of the time. Able to level easily. Some shade trees, but able to get solar. Extremely dusty site, but still enjoyed it. There is a mostly paved bike path (a few short road crossings weren’t paved) that takes you right into GCNP. Good Verizon signal. We were able to make/receive calls and texts along with stream videos. Would definitely stay here again for visit to South Rim of the Grand Canyon.

Needed a place for the night so we could visit the Grand Canyon in the morning. This was it!
Road in was well maintained (no rain or snow in October) and there were plenty of spots. Arrived around 6pm and many were taken but we still scored a good one. I would arrive earlier if possible.
Dump station inside the park is free so that was an added bonus.
Would definitely stay again.
Our spot had a makeshift fire ring with some trash from the last guests which we took with us on the way out.

Very quiet, we came here on a Monday at around 3pm. Plenty of spots available. Shaded, easy leveling. We rode our bikes to the rim on a paved bike path for 7 miles, perfect. I definitely will stay here again. Dry camping though.

This little area is perfect for those visiting the Grand Canyon! It’s close to the park and there are plenty of spots. Each spot had a fire pit which was a great plus.

We camped at this national forest and it was nice and peaceful. It’s actually right next to the Grand Canyon so it’s perfect if you visit it. The access to the campsites is not the best road but it’s like 30 secs of dirt so not that bad. The night is also very dark and silent.
