This was one of the first places we stopped and really incredible! They're all these terrace hot springs that are just other-wordly. There are a couple of different boardwalk trails that wind through and around all the pools. You can't swim here as they're crazy hot, once you see the dead trees everywhere you wouldn't want to. Keep in mind that it's hot and the hot springs make it even hotter, so take some water up with you. The whole thing probably won't take you more than an hour and a half but it's really cool!

Yellowstone is pretty amazing. I did an RV trip with my family which was pretty cool, gave us a good way to cart around supplies for a week and we stayed at camp grounds along the way. We all felt it was limiting though, as you have to stay at camp grounds with dump sites and hook-ups and all that jazz. If I were to do it again I would take a small car that I could park somewhere, leave it and hike up into the mountains for a few days to get some back-country and camp. The hiking you can access that way I've heard is totally stellar compared to the dinky little trails you get to hike if you have to make your way back to a campground with an RV.

That being said, we still saw some AMAZING stuff in Yellowstone. Massive herds of buffalo and some great close-ups of single ones just moseying down the street. The top 3 highlights for me were the lower falls at Yellowstone Falls (it's an easy hike to the upper falls from there but the lower falls are really the stunning views). Mammoth Hot Springs were really cool because they are just these crazy, terraced landscapes that you've likely never seen. Last but not least, the Norris Geyser Basin is stunning, we happened to go just before sunset and seeing those pools glowing light blue with the sun going down...really surreal.

I highly recommend reading about the park's geology here - it's really what makes Yellowstone such an amazing place: http://www.secretyellowstone.com/historical-cultural-scientific/geology

One last thing, don't forget to look up at the sky once it gets dark because the number of stars you see will blow your mind.

Awesome place to visit if you're up in Northern Michigan. It's just a short ferry ride away the island is so picturesque in the summertime. I haven't been since I was a kid but it's just sort of a classic summer escape, complete with horse-drawn carriages and salt-water taffy. I can only imagine how beautiful it is in the fall as well. Definitely go have a drink at the Grand Hotel and sit out on the porch, it lives up to its name.

I'm usually not much for super touristy places, but Central Park is amazing. It's massive and has tons of different environments to explore, bike paths, running trails, woods, row boats, the whole nine yards and the entire thing is just amazing. If you spend a day visiting Manhattan then the park is a great place to take your lunch and chill out for a bit as a refuge from the city. Be wary of going when it's crazy hot outside in the middle of summer because you'll definitely feel the heat. The boat house is a really beautiful area. Don't get a pretzel from one of the carts because you think "it's a NY thing to do" because they taste like cardboard and are totally gross. Also, if you like Central Park, you should also check out Prospect Park in Brooklyn because according to the landscape architect that designed both parks, Frederick Law Olmsted, Prospect Park is his masterpiece and CP is pretty amazing...so you can only imagine ;)

Cape Cod is the quintessential beach town of the North East, full of picturesque shops, hotels, restaurants, sand-swept beaches and just a laid back vibe. The beach is beautiful, a little on the cooler side if you prefer really warm climates and the sea is a bit chilly, but it's just so beautiful and relaxing. It's a great place to go on a family holiday - I went with my parents and 2 siblings and had a great time putzing around town and hanging out on the beach. It's definitely more of a keep-to-yourself type of place so if you're looking for a party it probably isn't the right place. Would be a great spot for a romantic holiday as well. If you get cold easily keep a sweater around as it can get chilly at night or on a windy day.

I'd say "meh" - if you want to take your picture in front of it as a memory of being here then you can go and wait in a long line of people seeking to do the same. It's literally just exactly what you see in the picture though, not that special. I wouldn't take the time to specifically go here.

I realize this trail really doesn't compare to the kind of hiking you can do out West around other really stunning places, but as far as getting into nature near Cincinnati, I love this place. It's a trail that winds through the woods alongside a creek. The creek is fun to hike up and if there's been enough rain, there are some small waterfalls and swimming holes that form that are pretty cool. Lots of people take their dogs to run on the trail, mostly off-leash. Every season is beautiful here, winter after a good snow turns into a Narnia-esque winter wonderland, spring is beautiful with lush fields of blooming tulips worthy of Lord of the Rings, summertime is super lush and being near the water is great, in the fall the trees light up and look really beautiful. Take the kids, take the dog, take yourself.

Hands down one of my favorite restaurants in Mexico City. The epitome of understated elegance carries through from the atmosphere to the food. I've been a bunch for both lunch and dinner and the execution and service have been spot-on every single time. I can't recommend anything specific because their menus change daily and everything is good, they do a great job with both seafood and meat, the waters are really delicious and refreshing. Really nice date spot too! Make sure to reserve a table about a week in advance though, they fill up really, really quickly.

Really adorable little shop, I'd literally buy everything if I could afford it! Tons of cool textiles, bottles, knick-knacks, glasses, plates, jewelry, a couple pieces of furniture, some artwork. Their stuff is pricey, to be expected at a shop like it, but really cute and even if you aren't going to buy anything it's fun to just pop in.
