Highly suggested! Super chill employees and a great place to pitch a tent by the creek. It is roughly 15 bucks more than the KOA and it is a much better experience.

Not fucking worth your time. The government makes you pay for it. A waste of time and money

I heard that it is very cool to go right before sunset or at sunrise. However, it was pretty damn cool in the middle of the day as well! Super unique and unknown. A must see if you can make it this far down into New Mexico!

My buddy and I stayed one night here and it was very accommodating I must say! The workers were super nice and chill, and the tent site was quality. It even had a very pleasant tree for shade. Also, the showers were clean and nice. 5 out of 5.

My cousin and I are going on a road trip throughout southwest USA and this was our second stop. First off, upon arrival you pay and then get "elevatored" down 750 feet which is pretty damn far down. You then take a trail around the cavern. It is quite manageable for anyone and wheelchair accessible. The caverns did not disappoint. It was a very unique experience and they honestly were cooler than I thought. I was thinking that it might be just a tourist trap, it was far from.

It is a great escape to a cool and pleasant forest with nice rolling hills and mountains. Also, the road from cloudcroft down to Alamogordo is pretty fun.

My cousin and I are taking a road trip of the southwest United States and this was our first stop. It is about 50 minutes outside of the city of Carlsbad and 35 minutes from the Carlsbad Caverns. The Guadalupe mountains are definitely a small mountain range, but definitely worth your time. We camped out at the Guadalupe campground which is pleasant but doesn't have much when it comes to amenities (showers being the big one). We stayed for one night and hiked the Guadalupe peak trail which was pretty freakin sweet. It is the highest point in all of Texas and it had some pretty quality views. Once you hit the peak you can see for miles and miles. Overall, this park is very unknown and underrated. If you can make it out, I would suggest it.
