Contrary to what the previous review stated, this Remembrance garden honoring 9/11 is still there. We went today 4/18/18 and really appreciated it. Very reverent moment to stand there and touch the actual beams from the World Trade Center. Never forget! Take exit 355 off interstate 50. Go south past the Flying J to the first right turn you can make (Original route 66). The monument is just up the road as you head into Winslow, on your left.
Great park and campground in Melbourne, Florida. We had no problem fitting in with our 40' motorhome. Close to shopping but quiet in the park. Lots of wildlife to watch, fishing ponds, frisbee golf, events center and horse barns. Full hookups and reasonably priced. A hidden gem.
This is a clothing optional, gay campground.
Unusual yet creative. Certainly worth a drive by while visiting the Carrabelle, Florida area. There are some very artsy pieces and it is certainly a tribute to recycling. We particularly liked the colorful light house and spheres.
Impressive statue in the veterans park of Apalachicola, Florida. This is a duplicate copy of the one at the Vietnam Nam memorial in Washington DC. Take a minute to stop by and reflect while appreciating an excellent piece of art.
Great COE park right next to Ozark, Arkansas. Paved roads, covered picnic tables, 50 amp service in "F" campground and friendly park staff. Our 39' motor home was easy to maneuver in and out of campground. We stayed here for 3 nights over Thanksgiving weekend in November of 2016. Definitely adding this place to our list of favorites when traveling through Arkansas. Be sure to visit some of the local wineries!
Beautiful, quiet campsites on the lake! Long pull throughs for motorhomes and towed vehicles. We stayed in early November for a few days and practically had the place to ourselves. Decent fishing, boat rentals, hiking trails and friendly park staff.
