Easy to see and access..very cute
This place is fun if you like to collect rocks, geodes, crystals and enjoy the art of the find. We went on a hot summer day and dug around for about two hours. It took some time to actually know what we were looking for. So be prepared to not really know what the heck your digging for -it's really just a hillside where you dig in the dirt and clay. So, young children will get bored quickly. I suggest older kids like 10 and up. The reward is what you make it and what you deem treasure and beautiful. We got lots of cool quartz rocks and rocks with crystals embedded. These are great additions to our yard.
It is a great stop! We enjoyed the billboards leading up to it too "the best fudge comes from Uranus". The 13 year old in all of us gets a chuckle for a while.
The little town has all sorts of BIG things in walking distance. And cute spots to eat lunch. We stayed an hour and a half including quick lunch.
This is a hokie, great slice of America. For $25 you can hook up an RV for the night and get tokens for the fire. Super easy to find and simply amenities.
