Kaskaskia Dragon

You have to get a token from the kaskaskia hardware store just down the road...such a neat little roadside stop =)

its worth the stop and the dollar id say. although i dont think the fire lasted 10 seconds. a picture might b better than a video. and dont follow these directions, they take u about a block away. the dragon is on the corner of 40 and Rock island, as stated above.

Worth the side trip and $1! Dragon is at corner of Veterans Pkwy and Rock Island.

Had the pleasure to talk with the owner & learn the story behind this creation.
The owner has/had a metal shop. An employee asked if she could use the scrap metal to make a dragon. The owner laughed and said We're not busy right now, why not. So she did. After it was assembled a local propane guy stopped by and said he could make it breathe fire 🔥. Again, the owner said Why not. Lol, he was a nice man and we enjoyed our visit. 🐉

Love the dragon, & he comes with his own Knight in shining armour!! The tokens are pretty cool too - almost worth an extra $1 for the souvenir. The staff @ the liquor store across the street will even walk over to take your photo if you ask nicely :)

Absolutely amazing worth the stop

A cost a dollar for H token, it breathe fire for a good time. Definitely would be nice if it was a nice day out and not too windy.

It is a fun stop if you enjoy stand-alone roadside attractions. A bit out of the way & isolated but worth the time to see it.
You can buy the coins to make it breathe fire at the liquor store across the street.

We laughed! This is a roadside oddity next to a small RV park. Picture worthy. You have to get a token at the hardware store to make the dragon breath fire.

Cute stop not far off the highway not much else to do. Place to get tokens don’t open until later. Hardware 10 AM and liquor at Noon. Our tokens were free :)
