Very large, life-size metal dinosaur.
The museum had closed by the time I was passing through, but there are plenty of outdoors art objects to appreciate. Nice place.
Cool place and it’s free, however they do accept donations. Great collection of Americana.
Very neat road-side stop after a few hours of nothing in the OK panhandle! My partner sculpts with iron and he was very impressed with the dinosaur sculpture. I loved the little museum and a couple other smaller art installations they had. It was a quick stop, but we enjoyed it!
I thought it was so cool. My boyfriend was like “really you’re making us stop here”. Anyways we got the staff to take our picture because it is apart of a museum and they were super sweet :)
Cimmy the Dinosaur sits outside the Cimarron Heritage Center Museum in Boise City. This metal Apatosaurus, which measures 65 feet long, 35 feet high and weighs thousands of pounds, greets visitors to the museum. Stop to see Cimmy on your way through Boise City for a great photo-op.
Cimmy the Dinosaur was created as a real life representation of a dinosaur that was extracted from Cimarron County in the 1930s. Sometimes referred to as a "Cimarronasaurus," locals soon started calling their new roadside attraction "Cimmy."
