The Flatland RV Park was a convenient place to stop for the night. As with the previous review, it did seem quite new and well kept. We were the only rig there for the night. There were a few trucks parked for the night (with engines running) in the lot behind the 24/7, but they were not a bother to either of us. Some truck traffic noise from I-70 could be heard though.

We did have a reservation made earlier in the day, but had to checkin and pay within the store after arriving. The have a $10 deposit on their hang tag (refunded in cash when leaving). The entry gate automatically opens and closes when your rig approaches the gate. There is a walk-through opening in the fence for walking over to the 24/7 store (just watch out for the trucks).

It was a bit confusing at first for the parking in the inner section. It seems the yellow line across the middle of the inner parking spots would be the rear of your rig should be close to - most of the spots in the inner section look to have rigs parked back-to-back. It was only after looking at the parking spots and seeing where the hookups were located when figuring out the inner parking. Site 10 was a single and not a double in-line like most of the others in the inner section. The concrete pad seemed to be level.

There was WiFi, although not used. The signal for AT&T was pretty good.

When leaving and on our way to the Eisenhower Presidential Library, I did fillup there in one of the 24/7 Store's truck lanes.

Just an enjoyable stay! Was booked in conjunction with having the Spring 2023 RVRN (RV Radio Network) Rally here. Superb owner and staff. Well maintained. Clean (really!!) bathrooms. Laundry facility was good with 2 washers and 2 dryers - wash at $2.50/load and dryer at $2.25/load - $10 rolls of quarters available at the office. Nicely terraced gravel sites with almost all being a pull-through and with each having a picnic table and a fire ring. Wood and kindling was quite available and very reasonable. Office closed on Sunday (not a negative either). Sort of got used to the passing trucks' "jake brakes". Overall - just an enjoyable stay! We are already planning on returning for next year's RVRN Spring Rally! Note: the normal rate is $58; we paid just over $52 due to either being a senior (10% off) or being with the RVRN group

Just a nice basic spot to stay for a while. No issues. Easy checkin with a great recommendation for getting around due to the I-10 construction - would be a lot easier to leave and get to without the I-10 construction. Since behind the Camping World, the I-10 traffic noise was not a factor. Fine gravel on some type of hardpack. Early morning and evening views were nice. The best thing was the park being relatively close to son's new place!

Approaching the worst RV park experience to date? Setting-up in the rain and tearing-down in the rain is nothing against the park, it just caused the experience to be even worse.

The site layout was atrocious since being one pedestal area for two adjacent parking spots. That forced me to face southeast while my adjacent neighbors were facing northwest. The pedestals were also more towards the southeast causing me to be almost in the drive and starting to slope down in the front. I backed-up some to get a bit more level. The rig's position stretched-out the 25-foot 50A power cable and the 25-foot water hose. After getting my slide out, there may have been 3-4 feet separating the neighbor to the north from us. Could not stay out some mud seeping up alongside the graveled site especially in the morning when disconnecting or trying to dump tanks.

To top it all off was the "safety-hazard" of the pedestal with the circuit breakers' protective panel missing. I always use a 50A tester, and was glad to use it on this one for sure before getting power to the rig from this so-called "power source". I was extra careful turning the breaker on or off especially with it raining! This was just a plain "no"!

There was a piece of brick covering the dump location - since the cover was missing, the small piece of brick also served as its cover!

In the morning with all of the overnight rain, the area looked like a small lake.

The men's bathroom could use some recurring cleaning. Trash in a bin looked old and was quite overflowing.

There was no coverage experienced with AT&T.

Nope, will not stay here again. My wife and I would have been much better off staying in one of the Loves RV spots there at the I-20 exit.

The Colby RV Park provided us with a great overnight visit while enroute on I-70 in western KS. No issues to speak of. Graveled site was nearly level. Could hear the interstate traffic to the south, but the level did not bother either of us. East of and across the street from the Walmart.

Really nice seemingly well-maintained state park campgrpund, probably the best one that we have stayed at. Boked at last minute a few days prior to Memorial Day weekend - we settled for staying one night since not being able to book a site for two. We came prepared with empty gray and black tanks along with having suffiicient fresh water for 3 or so days. Nice near-level concrete pad with paved double-wide approach. Since warm afternoon into the evening, was really nice having the A/Cs working - 15A, 30A, and 50A at the pedestal. Sites are nicely spaced with adjacent neighbors not crammed alongside! Beach was nice with trails to/from the campground.

Appears to be well-maintained RV park. Great checkin. Would have loved to have been able to get a spot online. Opted for a concrete parking spot. Really liked being able to walk around the little lakes. Was nice and quiet except for the passing trains (bothered wife more than me) with our site further away from tracks (that run along the east side of the park).
