We stayed here one night while transitioning from Glacier to Yellowstone. We called ahead the night before and did not have a hard time getting 2 sites. The staff was very friendly when making the reservation and also when we checked in.

The campground is mostly gravel and the sites are fairly close together (what you'd expect of a commercial campground). Our site was a pull through with water/electric and a sewer dump onsite. There is also a restaurant/grill next door, but only outside seating is available. There's also coin laundry onsite. Most of the campers come here to fish and many appear to be seasonal campers. There are a lot of extra vehicles and boats around.

This area is on the plains of Montana and the night we arrive the wind howled all night long. My FIL had to keep his slides closed because he was afraid the wind would tear up his slide toppers.

If you're into fishing it looked liked like a great place to be. The lake is good sized and there were a lot of fisherman on the water. We were staying just to pass through. We stayed here in a 30 ft travel trailer.

We stayed here in July while touring Washington DC. This park definitely is not on the cheap side but well worth it for the amenities and proximity to DC. We enjoyed the playgrounds, pools, camp store and onsite cafe. The laundry facilities are great too.

The only negative we really found (besides the price) is that the spots are close together with little toad parking. We arrived later in the day and it took us quite a while to get ourselves maneuvered into our spot. When providing the size of your rig be generous because the spots are tight.

We stayed here for a long weekend in mid-May while visiting family in the area. Overall, this is a very clean, well run park right by the casino. There is regular shuttle service from your site to the casino. Most of the guests are seasonal or full-time retired individuals/couples. While the park has a playground, I wouldn't say it's kid friendly.

There are both back-in and pull through sites. Be aware pull through sites are doubles so you're within arms reach of your neighbors. All sites are concrete pads with full hook ups. Our particular site was pretty level front to back but sloped pretty heavily to one side. There is an laundry, rv wash, and fuel onsite.

In addition to paying $50 per night for a back-in site they also charge $5 to use the onsite bathrooms and showers.

Overall, the staff was very friendly and the park was well maintained. With a family of 4 children this wouldn't be my first choice but we may stay here again.

We stopped at the Wind River RV Park passing through the area from Yellowstone to South Dakota. We called them as we pulled into two because it was the first time we could get enough cell reception. The gentleman who answered the phone was very polite even providing guidance on how to navigate construction in the area. Good thing he did; otherwise, we wouldn't have made some of the corners. He was just as polite in person as on the phone.

Central Wyoming doesn't have a lot of grass due to the climate, so not having grass and shade wasn't really a disappointment. The sites are doubles with plenty of length and full hookups. There's onsite bathrooms, showers, and laundry. Be aware they charge for showers (something we aren't accustom to). The park is in town so there's access to a lot things such as Walmart, Family Dollar, a nice city park, and several restaurants.

I wouldn't consider Riverton, Wyoming a prime vacation destination but the town and Wind River RV Park are a nice place to stay when traveling through the state.

We camped here in a 30 ft travel trailer. I would stay here again and would recommend this place to anyone.

Overall I'd say this park is ok, but it needs some work. There's a lot of potential if the right people were running it.

Pros: Very friendly staff, clean/level sites, nice pool, large laundry, onsite propane sales, nice dog park

Cons: Infrastructure needs some work. In our "loop" I've only found 2 showers, one of which is basically an open stall in the room with no locks and a cheep shower curtain for privacy. Free wifi is not usable and paid service isn't worth the $0.99 per day they charge. The wifi infrastructure is good (full bars) but the underlying service is pretty much worthless. There are two dumpsters on site at opposite ends of the park. If you're in the middle, you've got quite a walk to either of them. Nice laundry facilities but they're at the opposite end of the park from where we are staying so a bit of a hike (we ended up driving over). Also, it's close to a busy highway which could be bothersome for some.

Sites: Odd or quirky is the only word I can come up with to describe them. For example our site runs perpendicular to the road while our neighbor to our right is parallel to the road. We share a front yard and the front of our rig is within a few feet of the back of their rig. Some of the pull throughs run one direction while others run the other direction. I understand buddy sites but there are very few "normal" or non-buddy pull-through sites.

Cell Service: I have a NIMO antenna and a hotspot with Verizon which would only pull in 1-2 bars. Download speeds were decent at 10mps+ but upload speeds are about 1.0-1.5. This is very surprising to me considering how close we are to St. Augustine.

Overall, I guess I expected more. This is my first stay with Sun Outdoor Resorts. After seeing a lot of raving reviews of their properties I had some pretty high expectations. This one definitely didn't set a good first impression.

While there are many campgrounds outside of town, this is one of the very few in town. The staff is great and the place is well kept. They have everything from tent sites to full hookup pull through sites. There's a large bathroom and laundry facility along with camp store.

We enjoyed walks around the campground as well as along the trail along the bay with several docks to go out on. We were across the street from the zoo and a 10 minute drive to the railroad museum, children's museum, and Canal Park where the ships enter/exit the bay.

Make sure to review your map before arriving. Depending on which direction you're coming from there isn't an exit for the highway the campground is on.

We would definitely consider staying here again on another trip to Duluth. We stayed here in a 30 ft travel trailer.

I've read all the reviews and I don't know what more I can say. Great sites with great amenities. We went to the parks, swam at the campground, used the laundry facilities & bathrooms. We had a great experience!

The only negative we really had during our stay was the Yellow bus line was inconsistent and spread out a lot more than the other lines. We initially didn't rent a golf cart but ended up getting one for the second half of our stay because the Yellow bus line was unreliable and frustrating.

It's really hard to know what we actually paid for our site because we booked it as a package deal with park tickets. I believe the listed rate on the website (before package discounts applied) was around $120 per night. We did not have a premium site, but rather a standard site. It had plenty of room to park our 37 foot travel trailer and truck and still have a sitting area and a place to have our picnic table.

We will definitely stay here again.

We found out when we checked in that the campground is closing this summer and undergoing renovations which is needed because it's starting to show its age. Roughly 1/2 of the sites are full hookups while the other 1/2 are water/electric only. Sites are long and fairly level with pavement and a picnic table. All hookups are in good working condition.

There isn't a pool or playground within the campground itself but they are in other parts of the park. However, the park is quite large so take bikes or be ready to drive around the park.

The bathrooms/showers are definitely showing their age and ready for an update. Hopefully, once those are done this year it will be much nicer.

General maintenance in the park was lacking, meaning the grass was overgrown and no-one drove through the park as far as security or to see if anyone needed anything. There was an aggressive racoon wandering the park while we were there. We reported it several times to park staff but no one ever addressed it.

This is a great park on a small lake in rural Iowa, not far from South Dakota.

There are a handful of full hookup sites (64-71) and a large number of electric only sites. The electric only sites are first come first serve. I'm not 100% sure on the full hookup sites. Rates for the electric only sites are $20 per night. The sites are very large and well shaded. I can't speak for the bathrooms/showers in the west loop, but the ones in the east loop appear to be fairly new and well maintained. Each room has its own shower, toilet, sink, and changing area.

In addition to camping, the park has playgrounds, picnic shelters, a beach, volleyball courts and a basketball court. They also have several rental cabins along the lake.

The local state parks in the area take reservations and fill up fast. It's hard to get reservations a few weeks in advance. Since Lake Pahoja is first come first serve it's well visited by local campers with last minute plans. Because of this, I'd advise arriving mid-week if you want to camp the weekend.

Even on a busy summer weekend, everyone was very respectful of each other and we didn't have any noise issues.

This is a state park that rivals the offerings of most private parks.

The sites are well spaced and provide plenty of room to setup for a few days or a few weeks. We had full hookups which in a state park is rare from what we've found in our travels. We didn't use the shower facilities because we had full hookups plus the one closest to us was closed for renovations. I did walk through one and it looked clean and well maintained.

Based on other user's pictures it looks like they've cleared out a lot of the trees along the main road. Our site backed up to the road and we had no privacy. We were definitely out in the open for all to see. Next time I'll definitely look for a site off the main road.

The beach was a little too far for our kids to walk so we drove to the beach parking area. Unfortunately there was an increased number of sharks in the water while we were there so we didn't do much swimming. We drove all the way to the beach and spent our swimming time in the pool.

We'll definitely be back and would recommend Gulf State Park, if you can get in.
