This campground is a very nice forest service campground. There are two loops with loop A being mostly tent and very small camper sites. Loop B is all tent/RV sites. In loop B there are a couple of sites with electric/water but most are no hookups but each site has a gravel pad, large picnic table, fire ring, grill table, & designated tent square filled with sand.

We didn't go through loop A but loop B has 2 sets of pit toilets and a large garbage dumpster. The campground hosts were very nice and welcoming. Even though there are no water hookups as most of the sites, there are water spigots between each site. I was able to use about 50 feet of hose and fill our water tank while parked in our site.

This campground would have been perfect had in not been for the proximity to the highway. There's constant highway noise. We got used to it but it was bothersome for a while.

While this is a very nice campground nestled in the trees about 20 minutes from West Yellowstone, the highway noise would discourage me from staying here again or recommending it to others. I noticed other forest service campgrounds in the area that seemed further off the highway.

We stayed here in a 30 ft travel trailer.

This is a great park on a small lake in rural Iowa, not far from South Dakota.

There are a handful of full hookup sites (64-71) and a large number of electric only sites. The electric only sites are first come first serve. I'm not 100% sure on the full hookup sites. Rates for the electric only sites are $20 per night. The sites are very large and well shaded. I can't speak for the bathrooms/showers in the west loop, but the ones in the east loop appear to be fairly new and well maintained. Each room has its own shower, toilet, sink, and changing area.

In addition to camping, the park has playgrounds, picnic shelters, a beach, volleyball courts and a basketball court. They also have several rental cabins along the lake.

The local state parks in the area take reservations and fill up fast. It's hard to get reservations a few weeks in advance. Since Lake Pahoja is first come first serve it's well visited by local campers with last minute plans. Because of this, I'd advise arriving mid-week if you want to camp the weekend.

Even on a busy summer weekend, everyone was very respectful of each other and we didn't have any noise issues.

I'm a little late in my review. We stayed here in late June 2019. We absolutely loved this campground. Each site has electric & water with a dump station onsite. There are two campground hosts who were amazing. With our access pass the nightly fee was only $10.

The sites are arranged in a loop with a lot of wooded space between each site. There's a great playground and bathhouse in the middle of the loop. There are also a couple of shelters if you want to bring a tent and have some cover from the weather. The entrance is gated at night so you don't get non-campers wandering through. This can be a blessing and a curse. We arrived back at camp late one night which forced us to park outside the gate and we had to hike into our site.

Another great COE campground!

We had a lot of high hopes for this park with it being on the lake but were disappointed once we arrived. I think the park has a lot of potential but isn't being well managed. Staff weren't really rude but weren't very nice either. The grass around our site was knee high and the bathrooms/garbage were quite a hike away. We were supposed to be here 4 nights but after 1 night ended up moving on.
