4 stars just because there isn’t any shade. Which is great for starlink, but it gets a little warm in the summer. Sites are large and easy to access, front desk and maintenance staff are super friendly and accommodating. Even though it fills up on weekends, it’s still fairly quiet. There is highway noise.

Because there’s not much else in Beatty! The folks running the park were great, switched spots for us to accommodate our slight ‘bigger’ rig. We have a 30’ fifth wheel, if you are bigger than that you may want to try somewhere else. Dirt spots, level, full hook ups, great wi-fi. You are right next to your neighbor, about 75% look like full timers. Quiet and clean.

It’s a bit of a challenge to get to, and I wouldn’t recommend a rig over 30’ (although there were some bigger RVs), but the journey is worth it. Electric and water only, and there is no cell coverage in the canyon, but the view on every direction is awesome, great trails for hiking and biking.

Easy to get to on the highway between Vegas and Reno. Spacious spots, most are concrete, full hook ups. Clean and quiet, could fit all sized rigs.

Nice and quiet and a location right on the lake. I imagine in the summer on weekends it can be busier, but this weekend in April there were only a handful of rigs and tents. Gravel spots, mostly level, 30 amp and water. Some of the spigots are shared between sites, and there’s plenty of room between sites, so bring extra hose. I had to use 75’. The price is right, $24; or $12 with an Access Pass.

We just needed an overnight stop through Wyoming. There’s only one road through town, easy to get on and off the freeway, She’ll station with diesel right at the exit. Only a handful of spots. I called to move up our reservation a couple days due to weather coming in, and it was not a problem. We just pulled right into any open spot, no check in. Greeted by the cowboys herding horses down the street in the morning! A couple classic looking western bars in town.

Not a lot in St John’s, nearly all the sites are full timers. Level gravel site, full hook ups. If, for some reason you are driving through the area and need an overnight, it’s a good place. The park host was super friendly and helpful.

No frills but for $24 ($12 with a parks pass) what do you expect? Water and electric, no sewer, no Wi-Fi. Some spots are short so if you have a big rig, choose wisely.

It’s worth staying at Tek to get to drove the extra 20 miles into the park. Dry camping, of course, but they have generator hours. You make reservations, then it’s first come, first serve for sites. The site we chose was just big enough for our 30’ fifth wheel. There was enough room to put the truck next to the trailer, we couldn’t have fit both in a line. Starlink worked!

If you are just looking for a couple days in San Diego, like we were, this may not be the place. Sites are small and close, with an odd criss cross way of parking. Anything more than 30’, think twice or call, to get the right spot. People park on the streets, we were fortunate that the guy next door came out and moved his truck, or we would not have been able to back in (and, we full time, are always on the move, I’m pretty good at maneuvering the trailer and I was nervous). It’s also 100’ from I-8 and very noisy. That said, it is convenient to get to San Diego, they have a gate right to the trolly stop to get downtown. If you are looking to stay a week, month, or more (75% we’re long term) it’s not a bad place. It was quiet and secure, despite the freeway noise.
