The island is a super cool place! Occupied by lots of friendly goats, although the buildings are mostly dilapidated but charming all the same. I would definitely make a point to stop here!

I used to walk by the house every day on my way to and from work. It's very well kept up but not in the best part of the city. Parking on the street is best found one block up or down from the house.

Lots of cool views of downtown Phoenix and the surrounding area. Many different look-out points and various trails for different skill levels. When we went, we were stopped from the highest look out by a park ranger due to sink holes on the mountain--but he was super friendly and didn't deter us from returning. It's free to enter the park.

Lake Pleasant was great but be aware of getting caught on a back entrance dirt road that is treacherous to drive on. The water itself was nice and is perfect for families and/or bringing your dogs and some floating devices along. It's $6/vehicle to enter the park and the point we swam at, we were able to drive the car off road and right up next to the water.

The path up is steep but well maintained and easily accessible. The views you have are best seen at sunset. Be weary of individuals posting up in the hole and blocking your access. A simple, and easy way, to to reach a view.
