Lake Pleasant is the largest lake in the Phoenix and Scottsdale AZ area and one of the largest in Arizona. Its pristine, clear waters encompass over 10,000 acres of water surface and 118 miles of shoreline fed by the Aqua Fria River and the Colorado River via the Central Arizona Project Canal. Lake Pleasant AZ is located in Peoria, Arizona about 35 miles northwest of downtown Phoenix. Open all year, Lake Pleasant in Arizona is the perfect water-recreation getaway for power boating, house boating, jet-skiing, sailing, kayaking, RV camping, tent camping, and fishing. You can even go parasailing at the lake. At the main entrance of the lake, there is a large parking lot which accommodates parking for 700 vehicles as well as a 10-lane and 4-lane boat ramp.

Lake Pleasant was great but be aware of getting caught on a back entrance dirt road that is treacherous to drive on. The water itself was nice and is perfect for families and/or bringing your dogs and some floating devices along. It's $6/vehicle to enter the park and the point we swam at, we were able to drive the car off road and right up next to the water.
Beautiful place , water is amazing but we do need to do a better job to not leave trash behind, so much trash is this lovely place. Camping areas are really nice too and best spot to enjoy nature from a SUP.
Lake Pleasant is a beautiful desert lake. Be sure to check out Scorpion Bay and rent water toys if you don't have your own boat. The experience is much more fun out on the water!
It's a great place to escape the heat and get out on the water near Phoenix. Lots of options for RV including camping right on the side of the lake which is awesome.
