Reserved and paid for site online. Site #12 was a back-in on outside corner so easy straight back in and easy out. There is a small creek running down the middle of campground. I think there were 20 sites. Not far from Santiam Pass and the small town of Sisters. This was stopover enroute to CA and a bit of a deviation off Hwy 97 but one of the few spots available. I would definitely stay here again and would have been nice to spend time exploring Sisters. No hookups and we had to do a bit of leveling.

I stayed here a little over a week while I supported a PCT hiker. While most spots are exposed (great for solar panels), I had a couple of trees shading my trailer and a creek that ran just behind my trailer. The site was mostly level and plenty long enough for a good sized trailer or RV. The pit toilets were always clean and there was fresh water available and a dump station. No electricity or water at individual sites. There are a lot of hiking trails and the trail access to Mt. Whitney is close by. The camp hosts were great. The Alabama Hills are beautiful and home to the filming sites of over 400 movies and there is a movie museum in Lone Pine. It is hot here in the summer. I enjoy boondocking and the stars are magnificent here at night. It is super quiet and there appears to be a lot of fishing in the local streams.

Stayed here May 31~2, 2022 while supporting a PCT hiker through the section. Well kept campground in the trees yet enough sunlight to charge solar. My site looked out over the McCloud River with trails to the Middle Falls and Lower Falls and great swimming holes. Saw plenty of folks walking the trails with fishing rods and camera tripods. There are no hookups here, dump toilets, water spigots, and trash dumpsters. There was a camp host on site. It would be prudent to make reservations in advance at Recreation.gov. would definitely stay here again if visiting the area.

Stopped here on my way home from southern Nevada to Washington. It’s an easy off the freeway through the small town of Glenns Ferry. The upper campground sits on a plateau overlooking the Snake River. The lower parking lot is closer to the river. “Senior” rate for a site with water and electric is $20 for a NV resident and $21.50 for non-resident mid-week. There are clean restrooms and it was super quiet while I was there although super windy on the tail of a storm. There’s was a train whistle way off in the distance. Nice. Lots of grassy areas and trails for walking the dog and a new interpretive center. There is a winery next door and it has its own RV Park. I’m told the winery has excellent food. I only had to do minor leveling and the other sites looking good as well. Dirt or gravel pads. Pretty darn nice place to stay or overnight.

This is a functional city park just north of Leadore. While it is a humble comfortable spot, they are currently making improvements. The cell service (AT&T) is good and they have WiFi but it is hit or miss currently. The bathrooms and showers are clean, not fancy. There is a $5 separate fee for using the showers and you need a code. If the camp host is not available the folks in town at the Stage Stop Junction can provide the code. The sites are on mowed grass and you will probably need to do some minor leveling. It’s a small town and they are trying to make improvements with the funds they have.

The park host (Mark as of this posting) is very helpful and friendly and keeps the park clean. There were about 8 RV sites and various sites for tents and just recently they have added about 14 more RV sites and 8 of those just had their inspection yesterday and now have power and water and are big rig friendly and large There is currently now dump site here.

Currently, RV sites are $20 and soon the sites with power and water will be $35 a night. Tents are $10 and showers $5.

Highway 28 runs just beside the park but traffic is minimal at night and didn’t bother me at all. It is a beautiful area and peaceful. The town does have a small airport but I have not heard any activity since being here (4 nights). A small creek runs on the back side of the park adding to the tranquility. You can usually get fuel at the Stage Stop Junction, otherwise next closest would be in Dubois, ID or Salmon. I’m here to support a hiker on the Continental Divide Trail at Bannock Pass east of town. I would definitely stay here again and was happy to support the park and their improvements.

This was a decent spot out of Salmon heading north on 93. There are five sites; 1 for tents, 2 pull thrus, 2 back ins. The Salmon River runs right beside it. There is constant noise from the highway but I always carry earplugs. There is a clean pit toilet, picnic tables, and fire pits. Sites are paved and mostly level. I had 1 bar on ATT. There are no trees and there is grass between sites.

Early June, 2022. I had contemplated staying here several times over the last few years while supporting a PCT hiker but the reviews were old and not very convincing so thought I would check for myself without my rig behind me. Glad I did. When approaching this campground from the west (I-5 or Yreka) you have to make a left turn into it across oncoming traffic on a hairpin blind curve. After seeing it I would drive on a mile or two until I found a spot to turn around and approach from the east. No way would I feel comfortable pulling a rig in on that corner. That being said, the park was not well maintained, grass and weeds growing up thru the asphalt, only a few spots that could handle larger rigs, and there was no host on site. No hookups. Don’t think I would feel comfortable dropping my rig here unattended to go exploring. There was good river access and a boat launch for drift boats. A previous reviewer mentioned a steep drop down into the campground but I didn’t think that part was much of an issue.

Stayed here while supporting a PCT hiker in early June ‘22. Staff were extremely helpful and accommodating where possible. I had a FedEx package delivered here and I needed to stay an additional night beyond my reservation so had to shift campsites. Not really suitable for trailers over 25’ and leveling is required in most spots. There are a couple of pull-thru spots but small so still had to work trailer a bit to fit. There is freeway noise and more so in the lower section. There was very poor solar due to dense trees and I had to run my generator part of the day to keep up after the first couple of days of cloudy weather and rain. There is a gas station with a minimart within walking distance; not much else around. Lots of hiking trail access (Castle Crags) and vista point access at the end of the campground.

Stopped here, SLOWAY campground, to rest for the night. 2.6 miles off freeway exit westbound. It was the last night before the park closed for the season (Sept 27). Only two other campers in the campground. Nice setting on the Clark Fork. Lots of freeway noise. Trains going by throughout the night across the river but otherwise nice spot. 7 pull thru campsites. No Hookups.
