This is supposed to be a great lunch place, but I've only gone for dinner. The pad thai is my go-to, and it's pretty dang good. A bit on the pricey side for college students, but you get a huge portion which justifies it. If you want something quirky, get the Seaweed Salad... enough said.
Every skier and boarder who salivates over riding Jackson Hole knows that the Mangy Moose is a necessary stop. The place was nice inside. A really nice, retro vibe with a family friendly atmosphere. The prices were steep as expected. Food was good as well. I'd recommend the bison burger.
Visited the mountain during the summer time. Took the tram to the top to do some hiking and climbing. The resort is extremely nice and upscale. Even if you're not planning on dishing out hundreds of dollars, this place is still worth hiking and exploring.
It's hard to believe these arches are made of real antlers. Cool piece of architecture and a great photo-op. They're even better when they're lit up at night. Walk through town square if you have the time.
From the aftermath of Cloudveil, Stio was born. I'd heard the hype about their new products and I was eager to check it out. This store's attached to another store, so it may be easy to miss at first. They have a good selection of products made with high-end materials. Everything was out of my price range, but if you're willing to part with some major cash for a great product, this is the place to be.
This company creates some great, high-end gear. I got a tour of this office and was incredibly impressed with the professionalism, commitment to authenticity, and overall vibe of the place. Great people.
This tram is a piece of modern engineering. Its features are pretty incredible- it moves fast, can withstand intense weather, holds 100 people, and is carried hundreds of feet in the air. Took it up during the summer to mess around on the trails and Corbett's Couloir. The only downside is that it costs bank! May just take the 7 mile hike up to the top next time...
Absolutely stunning lake. The water is crystal clear and so serene. It tends to be pretty packed during the summer with hikers and sightseers. I recommend taking the hike up to Inspiration Pint and Hidden Falls. We took the boat ride across the lake during training with Exum Mountain Guides. Well worth the sights.
Most hotels in Jackson are $200-$300 a night. This place is under $30... It's unreal. You're a 5 minute drive from Jenny Lake, have access to hot water and showers, free cooking supplies, a cheap washer and dryer, and the staff is amazing. You stay in hostel-type cabins on bunks, so you need to make sure to bring a sleeping bag and mat. For the outdoor enthusiasts who's looking for something better than any hotel in Jackson, this is the place to go!
Man, this airport is beautiful. It's tiny, yet so intimate. The wood finish, pictures, view of the Tetons, and friendly staff make waiting bearable. Delta lost our bags and the staff was extremely helpful and dropped off our bags when they arrived. Definitely worth checking out some day.
