“ski, relax, sleep, repeat!”
Jackson Hole Mountain Resort is located in Teton Village. Jackson generally refers to the Town of Jackson, a downtown district 12 miles from Teton Village. Jackson Hole is the valley: a broad, flat plain approximately 60 miles long and 15 miles wide that runs from Hoback Junction in the south to Jackson Lake and Togwotee Pass in the north. Jackson Hole encompasses the Town of Jackson, Teton Village and Grand Teton National Park. Jackson Hole’s reputation for steep and deep precedes it, eh? Yes, there’s plenty of powder and pitches, but here’s a little known fact: Jackson Hole Mountain Resort is a great a place for beginners to learn how to ski and for intermediates keen to cruise long groomers. Beginner and intermediate trails make up half of our terrain, meaning that our non-advanced/expert terrain acreage – 1250 acres – is larger than many ski resorts' total terrain. While we are famous for the Aerial Tram and expert chutes, they're only half the story: Bridger Gondola and Apres Vous Quad access the mellow side of the mountain, and the new and improved Casper area caters to intermediates. We highly recommend lessons with our Mountain Sports School, and if you're looking for a little more challenge, you might consider a Steep and Deep Camp or Backcountry Guide.
Love this area. I can only imagine how beautiful it is in the winter with snow & skiing. Great place for families. Lots of activities & great scenery. Rode Jackson Hole tram (which is free) to the top & back down for beautiful views. Great for the kids. They loved doing this after a wonderful meal at The Mangy Moose which is a great place to eat there. Very nice/upscale area. Restaurant prices were reasonable. 👍
Visited the mountain during the summer time. Took the tram to the top to do some hiking and climbing. The resort is extremely nice and upscale. Even if you're not planning on dishing out hundreds of dollars, this place is still worth hiking and exploring.
Love the town! Cute family bar/theater had sarsaparilla and it was my daughters birthday, so they serenaded her & she got a free homemade shake!
