Stayed here one night and it was a great place. Check-in is at the Alon station and they led us to the site. The sites are nice and long, well maintained gravel and level. Despite being close to I-40 it was very quiet. There is even a short nature trail around the park and along the creek. We didn’t check it out as it was cold an rainy the nite we were there. Their convenience store also offers “broasted” chicken and sides which was very tasty. We would stay here again with our fifth-wheel.
One of the nicest KOAs we have stayed in. The sites are reasonable in size and surrounded by corn fields. Close enough to Kankakee for city amenities but VERY quiet
Easy on/off but the road noise was awful. Small sites, mostly seasonal campers
Expensive, but location, location, location. Short walk to PATH for a train to WTC or Broadway area. Very small sites that we barely fit into but all we did was sleep there. Also, the nearby bar we incredibly loud on the weekend, requiring A/C plus earplugs to sleep.
Very nice, quiet park. Stayed in the full hookup loop which is close to the turnpike but toad noise was minimal. We would stay here again
Best for tenting, marginal for RV. Very small sites and wild on weekends. Great place for canoe/tube/kayak down the Mohican River as the ride can end there and you just walk to your campsite. 50a service, water but no sewer. Must use dump station or schedule honey wagon.
No frills place, just off I40 for a easy overnight stay. Sites are gravel with grass and small tress in between, about 1/2 filled with long term campers. Follow the provided driving directions or you may not find it. They had just started an optional prepay system which I recommend. We received an email in the morning of our stay with a link to pay. Worked slick. When we arrived you call a phone number and they provide the site number and the Wi-Fi code. There is a little road noise but overall the sound of a/c and the band of trees significantly cut down the noise. We would stay here again.
