We camped here for four days on business after a couple of weeks in forests and primitive sites. Blueberry Hill truly is a resort...facilities are spotless and there is every possible amenity. Plus, it's a great vibe. Coffee at 7, ladder toss at 9:30, a health fair one morning...this place is happening with friendly outgoing campers.

Showers and Laundry facilities are first class. The dry cleaners across the street doesn't do overnight service. The Walmart is nice and has virtually everything you need to re-stock.

Sites are paved and pristine clean, as is everything in the park. The sites are small but well designed.

Staff are all friendly and excellent.

Google will try to have you enter the wrong driveway--look for the big sign and the A-frame office!
We planned to stay one or two nights, and ended up staying four nights. Our site was a pull through and easily accessible and level. The sites are fairly close but not nearly as close as at some commercial campgrounds.
It's a somewhat dated commercial RV park, but everything is clean the the staff are very friendly. The bathrooms are old and dated but clean--there are two public toilets and four shower stalls--old style step in with a shower curtain. There are four laundry machines on-site $1.25 each.
There was a group of church kids having a retreat at the rental cabins, and they were out and about having a good time, but the park got quiet at 10 pm, so it was not an issue. The park is about five miles from the beach, so it's a pretty nice location. There are multiple dog friendly restaurants in the area, in addition to beaches.
Every site has a concrete pad, but it does little to keep the sand out of everything!
The biggest negative was that we had a very poor Verizon signal and the Wi-Fi was very slow.

Biggest challenge at this site was getting our 34 footer down to it. Once we were there it was a beautiful spot however the next site is pretty close so if it had been occupied it might not have been as nice.

The worst thing was finding the right road...google delivered us to a blocked road where we could see the park but not get there. Campsite 34 is not particularly level but is at the end of the row. We took a walking tour and decided site #18 would be best choice to stay in followed by #17. Both are pretty level and have good views of the lake. All the campsites have good lake views and I think our 34’ Airstream would have fit any site. Bathrooms are clean, not heated. Full hookups at all the sites.

We reserved on Thursday night, and the only spots left were primitive equestrian spots. When we arrived on Friday afternoon the ranger put us in an electric and water spot. Our Texas State Parks card got us half off of our stay.

It's all paved road, easy access.

Site 60 was plenty long for our trailer, level and close to a bathroom. Further down there were bathrooms with showers. The site did lack shade, so I'm not sure I'd want to camp there in summer.

The bathrooms were clean. I didn't use the shower but stopped by to check it out when we went for a hike. The showers basically shared a dressing area and there are two of them. Reasonably clean, I'd use them.

Cell service was spotty at best. I got Verizon 3G with 2 bars even with the OmniCell and WeBoost. The park has wi-fi, but I didn't connect to it and the camper next to us was also unsuccessful in connecting. The cell signal from the top of the hill viewing spot is excellent.

Great hiking throughout the park, though it's very rocky. Our tenderfooted dog was pretty sore, even on the trails rated as moderate. (All of it's pretty easy). Lots of cool shops in Fort Davis. This is absolutely my favorite part of Texas.

Neighbors are pretty close, but overall it was pretty quiet. The rangers in the office were friendly, the park hosts not as friendly.

We had business in Fort Sumner, or we would not have been in Fort Sumner in June. That being said, overall it was a pretty good camping experience. It was 100 degrees so we took a site with electric and water. The electric was only 30 amp (we would prefer 50 at that temperature so we could run 2 AC's, but it did cool down). We checked out the Bosque de Redondo campground also, but with the temperatures and that being no electric we came to this park.

The sites were level, gravel and well maintained. We didn't have reservations but easily found a site we could back our 34ft Airstream into without unhooking. Really, since we had a 50 amp generator we might have taken dispersed camping on the lake if we had known the park better--the lake had a good shoreline and really nice camping spots.

The roads to the park were all easy and well maintained. It's about twenty or thirty minutes out of Fort Sumner, so it's remote. Some see that as good, for some it might be negative.

The campground was clean. The bathrooms at our campground included a 3 holer bathroom with one shower that was clean and in good condition. Overall the campground was quiet. When we pulled in a camper came out to the road and gave us the lowdown on all the campsites and recommended 11 as the best for us (he was right). The only downside of the campground was that the covered picnic table shelters were on the wrong side of the campsite on almost every site. (As hot as it was it wasn't very likely we were going to venture out anyway).

So this part of New Mexico isn't particularly pretty, and we didn't expect much. Right before dark we did take our dogs for a walk down to the lake and boy did New Mexico put on a show for us--that drab desert came alive. And it was a great lake for our puppy to play in.

We had excellent cell signal everywhere we were in the park.

Looks like campground was recently repaved. Area 3 is all nice, level pull throughs that will almost all fit a big rig. It was 17 degrees our first night here so the full hookups were nice.
Park host was in next campsite, very nice. People at office were also great. Heavy park police presence for some reason I can’t understand. They must be handicapped though, they stay in their trucks and drive around.
Lots of nice, easy, short walking trails. Pretty and I’d stay here again, but I bet most weekends you need a reservation.
It was very quiet when I was here.

One day we will learn to arrive before dark—finding the place was a challenge. Great park on the lake, walking and biking trails. It snowed and was only 30 degrees but we had water and electric so it felt pretty luxurious compared to boondocking. I suspect in the summer it’s more crowded and harder to book. I’d stay here again anytime! I didn’t visit the restrooms but they were reportedly heated and had showers. Only about 4 miles out of Bonham.

If you're needing a sleepover spot in west Texas this one has tons of trees, electric hookup and a dump station.

This was our second time at Storrie Lake. It's a great overnight spot if you are in the area. Plenty of primitive spots down by the lake and the sunsets never disappoint. It's an easy pull in no unhooking overnight spot and you're going to get treated to a great sunset.

Lots of port-a-potty's and two large clean bathroom and shower facilities.
