This is one of the largest campgrounds in the West but we found the stay pleasant and relatively quiet. The sites are fairly close together and vary between quite open and heavily forested. This is a very popular place for families with kids as there are miles of safe bicycle paths so there are kids zipping around on bikes all over (we like to see that!).
There are miles of beaches plus the bike/hiking paths so plenty to do aside from hanging out at camp.
I had no data from Verizon even with the WeBoost Drive RV on. AT&T was pretty good with about 16 MB down and 2 MB up with the booster.

We didn't stay here but I recently drove through on a reconnaissance trip. The CG is nice and wooded and the sites are separated but it looks like most of them are for tents. There were very few sites long enough for a trailer or RV and even those were poorly configured (e.g. the site was behind the pad or on the "wrong side"). I saw only a couple of sites that would have really suited our 25' travel trailer.

We started our 2 week OR and WA camping trip with a couple of nights here. It was only about an hour from Portland but seems worlds away. It's very forested and quiet and our site, 56, was huge!
The layout of the campground is a little confusing and the homemade looking map at the entrance isn't very accurate. It took us a couple of attempts to get oriented the right way to actually drive into our spot. But after that it was great!
Our Peplink was able to get serviceable internet on T-Mobile but nothing on AT&T.

While staying at the nearby Big Eddy county park we drove through Camp Wilkerson to check it out. While it is nice, well-forested area it's really not for RVs. There are only 2 RV sites and they're a bit difficult to get to. This park is intended for large groups (think family reunion), tent campers, and horse camps.
We had no service with neither AT&T nor Verizon.
Located just south of Newport South Beach State Park is a great base for exploring the north-central Oregon Coast. Newport is a cute coastal town with a lot of services and the wharf is very fun to explore. Yaquina Bay has some great clamming (our first time and we got a few).
The campground is very pleasant; it's far enough from the beach that the wind is reduced and much warmer; but it's around 1/3 of a mile hike to the beach (a bit much for our 14 year old dog.
Showers are will maintained and clean. Staff friendly.

The location on the central Oregon coast makes for convenient day trips both north and south. The enormous beach is but steps away. The sites are modest but surprisingly private. The hosts were friendly and the bathrooms kept clean (free showers too!).
While there is water and 30 amp electrical at many of the sites there is no sewer nor is there an RV dump at the campground; the nearest is about 18 miles away.
It is close to HWY 101 but the noise wasn't too bad at our site; there's very little traffic during the night and the roar of the ocean provides a nice background.
Verizon service is non-existent. AT&T is much better. We got 3.1 MB/s down and 0.4 MB/sec up while inside the Airstream. The WeBoost Drive RV increased that to 6.5 MB/s down and 7.1 MB/sec up. A later test the next day was an astounding 52 MB/sec down and 2.1 MB/sec up.

We enjoyed our 3 night stay in site A27 very close to the beach and far away from any road noise. The sites were clean, fairly private, and had full services. The bathroom were clean and the showers were pretty nice, free, and had hot water.
The only downside is that we couldn't get any cell service at all with Verizon (even with the WeBoost). Using the WeBoost we occasionally had service from AT&T but our Pepwave with AT&T didn't get any data.
The campground is well situated for exploring not only Cape Disappointment State Park but the entire Long Beach peninsula.

This is an awesome camp ground especially considering it's a city park. The grounds are immaculate, the facilities and great shape and clean, and it's within walking distance of downtown Spearfish. We selected this a place to recharge and reload between boondocking at Devil's Tower and the Badlands. It didn't disappoint. Next time we're passing through we'll stay here again.
The only disappointment was that there are no laundry facilities at the park. However there are two Laundromats close by.

This is the best Joshua Tree NP campground for RVs. The sites are fairly large, access is easy, and there's cell service. The CG itself is a bit neglected, lots of deferred maintenance (e.g. the some of the roads are really rough), the bathrooms are dated but were clean. There are no showers!!!
